white lightening - you need WOT runs - other wise the ecu will be in closed loop mode and will auto adjust the fuel. you should have ovtune to send you a safe tune with a conservative a/f so you can do WOT runs.

WOT will force open loop and the ecu reads a fixed table. even if you force open loop mode at part throttle the ecu will be reading different values in the fuel map.

ideally you do both - WOT runs and part throttle runs in open loop mode.

although the ecu is in closed loop mode (auto adjusting a/f) during part throttle, it's still good to datalog and tune part throttle fuel maps so the ecu does not have to make big swings in fuel adjustments.

open loop (WOT) the ecu is blindly reading a fixed fuel table without adjustments. so it's important to datalog in WOT. also temperature makes a difference (winter vs summer).

i assume the ovtune has a table to auto adjust fuel based on temperature. if so you would need a/f datalogs for cold and hot to setup the the temp. table to interpolate.

are you datalogging off the stock 02 sensor? do you know if it's a wide band sensor?

i noticed that autozone offers 4 replacements for the the upstream a/f 02 sensor and 3 of the 4 sensors are wideband. is stock sensor wide or narrow band?

The OEM air fuel sensors are Wideband Ratio Air Fuel sensors. Pretty sure they are also Piezoelectric.

Just for more assurance possibly. I think all tacomas after 04 were wideband. Pre 04 and some were wide and some were narrow.

Thanks for the tips. Maybe I'll do wot logging with my current setup as it's now a leaner free flowing exhaust. Is anyone using v2 of ovtune? Tried downloading updates. Got right to the end and kept erroring out. Dont know if it's my absence of tech skills or their site.

anytime. that why it would be nice to have the i0tune software. you could add fuel (i.e 10%) across the board and safely make WOT runs.

if you want to demo a mature tuning package (by Hondata for tuning honda cars), you can download from their site for free.

    http://hondata.com/updates/index.php?app=FlashProManager&action=download&includebeta=1

The tuning is simple - you setup target a/f, import the datalog and press a button to auto adjust the fuel maps to your target a/f. then you repeat the process until you get the a/f you want. you can see the a/f graphically. you can also manually change the values if you prefer.

So, I've made some datalogs using the handheld. Anyone know how to go about viewing them?

i'm guessing you would need the tuning software, i0TUNE, to view the datalogs

yep.. when swapping to the 2.6, I had to cut mine off after the puller deformed the backside.

Does no one use heat to remove them? I haven't pulled one off since putting my 2.8 on, but I don't remember struggling with it that bad

The factory 3.0 pulley is a much harder steel than the URD stealth ones.

are you guys still able to run the 455cc injectors w/ 2.6 pulley? do you know what % duty is needed on the 455s for the 2.6 pulley?

using the 7th injector and fuel pump upgrade?
