I have a big whine. I cant really hear that well either.. maybe its everything else strapped to my truck

 

Which air filter are you using?

 

I need to do this with mine...its starting to sound a little saltier than usual.

 

get a loud exhaust, i dont hear mine anymore because of the exhaust

 

stock/standard one from a parts store. I had a K&N, but the depth of the filter was less than original. It might have more bends, but I think you want more surface area, which the stock has.

There was a thread somewhere here about it. Or @Blackout14 might know more about this.

I have URD MK2 Y pipe, and URD exhaust

 

damn.. someone else was talking about K&N vs stock thickness, which is why I went back to stock

 

The big whine is from whats attached to the intake.

 

Dam it! Thanks though cause I almost purchased a second kandn for when 1 is getting cleaned.

Basically our engines can't pull more air than the stock filter provides. Most of what I read says aftermarket filters let more dirt in. I have been running wix/ stock filters for the life of my truck. On my old hondas I always had CAIs and they do sound cool.

 

Got lazy.. dont want to put them in yet..
