If the Tacoma was not an option, I'd give the new Ranger a hard look. Global platform, nice-looking, and love the a la carte options (i.e. rear locker).

I could even make do with a Forester XT and a trailer, if needed. The better MPG would be welcome.

I see the RL as the spiritual successor to the Camino/Ranchero/Rampage/Brat family of vehicles.

I actually considered buying one before I got my Tacoma, but I decided that I prefer a rear-drive BOF truck over a FWD unibody. It looks nice, but it's just not for me.

My exact same Tacoma, but with a V-8. Shit, I'd take a Tundra with the MT.

I'd probably go with the Colorado ZR2.

Helped my parents find my mom a 2018 JL Rubicon Unlimited, I got to drive it for a day getting it to her as a surprise. I was impressed and a bit jealous. That'd be my choice.

Five acres of woods around my house was great when I was 30, more a pain in the as now that I’m 60.

I'd wait and check out the Ranger, but The Chevy Volt and Bolt have appeal to me, too. But I also like 4Runners. Or a loaded Mazda CX-5. Crap, I dunno...

I could get by with a Ridgeline seeing how I'm always on the asphalt. No extended cab is why I never bought one 6 months ago.

I would attempt all sorts of nonsense for a MT 4Runner... Like all sorts...

All the usual diesel truck mods- fuel system upgrade, programmer, CAI, intake manifold, 60MM stealth turbo
Another vote for a raptor but another Ram 2500 Cummins is right up there too.
I currently have a 2001 and don’t see ever getting rid of it. I also love my Tacoma but not really attached to it.

I seriously considered a low roof 144” 4x4 Sprinter Van w/ the V6 diesel. Think of all the customization you could do in one of those (actually I know bc I have a hi-roof 4x2 144 Sprinter van conversion done by OSV).

Probably get a diesel dually, spend $20k on a lift and join the Diesel Gang because it seems like they're going places.
