So I haven't dug to much on this topic but maybe some of you have or maybe this is a good discussion.

What would you rather have a linx system from ARB or sPOD?

Basically they do the same things (not going to split hairs here) but one is touch screen and the other is push button or switches. While I feel the linx is convenient as deffinatly seems like your running less wires and cutting shit up to add more switches. I feel like it's big down fall is what if the batteries die on that touch screen? Yah you are pretty much fucked putting your eggs all in 1 basket. I feel like a rocker switch for each item is a bit more of a pain in the ass and adds more switches and make you look like you are driving the batmobile. But you dont have to worry about if 1 thing fails it all fails.

So what do ya'll think? What's would you chose and what major things am I missing?

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
    NOT weather proof!!!
I spoke with ARB USA tech support to find out if this was weatherproof, as I did not see it installed anywhere but inside the cab, not have I seen it endorsed as being weatherproof.

    * Note - I did see a mention of the LCD display being weatherproof, but not the brain of it.

Tech support said it was NOT weatherproof, and that it needed to be mounted inside the cab due to sensitive components that are not in the competitors (SPOD) units.

This is a huge downer, as I have been awaiting a unit such as this one.

Anyone who has read or seen otherwise, please chime in.

I was mainly interested in using this to autofill and adjust airbags. I saw the forum posts talking about trigger controller as an option too. Anyone done an install of this solely for the Linx system? I already own an sPOD but most of my switches are setup already and the empty ones already have plans to fill them.

sPOD HD panel is weather proof

“Panel is designed to withstand the harshest environments with all weather conditions taken into account.”

She looks good! I know a couple guys up North that run that set up and she is pretty bulletproof. I just installed a Linx a few weeks, seems good so far. I just seen that some guys were saying the brain wasn't water proof and that was a downfall for them. But spod is the same they are not waterproof but they are weather resistant.

I misunderstood the ask and you ar correct the brain isn't - I was hopeful that the sPOD bantam would adress that but it didn't.

I'm not sure about the Linx control panel. It looks like an Android Phone. The only time I take it out of my truck is when I'm airing up. The SPOD controller does look more robust.
