I wanna run these too. Do you have a double cab? The taco version is kinda short as they make em to fit the access cab too. How does it look/work for you?

I do have a double cab. They are a little shorter than the cab but after a couple months that stopped triggering my OCD. The front of them lines up with the pinch weld on the rocker. The back stops about 3 or 4 inches before the back edge of the door. Really only noticeable when looking directly at the side of the truck.


For the AC, you are supposed to cut them off as I recall. It has been 1.5 years since mine went on.

I think the look is very good, nice powder coat texture. They rest about 4 or 5/8ths from the rocker panels, work great for me and the wife loves them. The safety feature, stops moving if an obstruction is hit, built into the motor works quite well.

For washing in a touch free wash (I never use an auto wash that is NOT touch free)....
I normally open the passenger door, step on the board, close the door, and wait the 2 seconds for it to try to move (it only takes about 2 lbs of pressure, I think, to stop it).
Get back in, before closing the door I grab my squeegee, I extend it and hold it out the window, close the door and put the squeegee on the running board, when it tries to move it feels the resistance and stops.
Bring in the squeegee, close window and enter wash.
After the wash, I always dry the truck by hand so I open and close the passenger door to reset and retract the boards.

 

Its all im seein right now..but yeah ur right, when i step into my truck as opposed to throwing myself in it, ill get over it quik.

 

I still have plans to paint the pinch weld. A black pinch weld will do wonders to helping the gap fade from view.

Once I find a shiny new Round-To-IT, I am sure I will get it done.

If I had it all to do over again, I would have done the painting before I did the install.

Drill the holes in the pinch weld for the lights first. Maybe a smidgen larger than the install paperwork indicate to allow room for the Raptor Liner.

I drove mine for a couple thousand miles before putting anything big on it to figure out what I really wanted/needed. Here are some small things that seem to be popular:

Hahaha bitchin new ridgeline! I can’t stand the redesign, the original was promising.... slightly.

 

It pairs well with the useless iPhone.

 

Kind of reviving an old thread, but depending on what your goals are I went with:

1. Nerf Bars
2. OEM Tonneau
3. KB Voodoo Bars
4. TRD Pro Grille (just a looks mod)
5. Seat Covers because it’s my daily driver and I like to drink coffee on my way to work

 

After building a Jeep with stuff I didn't need, I'm taking it slow on the Tacoma. I have a list of things I want to do, but wont be doing them any time soon. My list is as follows.
1. Rock sliders that double as steps for my short legged wife.
2. Skid plates. The TRD OR skid plate is better than nothing, but I want more protection.
3. Winch and Bumpers. I hit a deer last Christmas in My Jeep and was saved by the heavy duty bumper.
4. Lift and Wheels/Tires
5. Overland rack and accessories.
