This looks comical as hell, I need to school up on what happened that caused its creation.

Baggage handler at Sea-Tac decided he no longer wanted to walk the earth. He then decided that the best way to go out would be to steal a Bombardier Q400 parked on the ramp and joy ride it around the Puget Sound area before nosing it into the ground. Even did a sweet barrel roll! F-15s dispatched, the whole 9 yards.

    That's awesome. Good quality, IMO.

Will do. The friend that I am doing it with is into it big time. We did the OG Gambler the third year (2016). He snagged and old volvo 850. The driver was a timed road rally veteran who completely didn't understand trail driving. They only made it to a few points. I was supposed to fly support on my Ural with a couple friends on DualSports. The Ural was in for some not-at-fualt accident repairs. So, I did a bunch of accidental wheeling with my old Duc. It was pretty epic.

    20160709_184324.jpg

He did last year with a clapped out Ranger Rover that only had 2wd. Finished with no problem.

    This is this years's entry:

    Capture.jpg

The freaking slant6 overheated on the way to OR. So, he and his son and daughter got a tow home, loaded up their SUV and bolted to OR. Finally to the point (after that long story), he and I are doing that WA rally in that orange beast after a lot of repairs.

Thinking more about it, I might fly support in the Taco. We'll hash that out later today.

Yep, found that as well. Thanks! Sucks that the guy died, but totally epic shirt!

I showed my wife and she said:
    "You're seriously disturbed."

Yeah. It is a bummer about that guy. I do wish that he would have landed it safely.

My wife said that I was a bit of a jerk for getting the shirt, but it was a totally epic situation.

Supposedly, the aircraft MFG is salivating over the flight recorder data.

I wouldn't doubt Bombardier is happy to have that data. How many chances do they get to see the flight data for a barrel roll in a non-rated airframe?

Honestly though, being at the controls on an unladen 10,000 SHP aircraft would be incredible.

I'm still amazed that he pulled it off. I would continuously fold up the wing on MS Flight Sim.

Definitely! I had an office that was across the street from the rotation point for the new Boeing aircraft on test flights. They were leaping into the air when empty.

My Powerball dreams would be an amphib Twin Otter, if I actually played the lottery.

For the record......I would love to know where his truck is now. Like, the turquoise Taco is iconic. It’s aged surprisingly well. Keep hoping it will pop up here with a new owner.

You’d have to go through all 1400 posts, but pretty sure it was paint. I think Jimmy cut out at post #30 or something so it might not be hard to verify.

It’s paint people really like to customize their Tacoma’s paint here. I have seen Tiffany blue, Tiffany metallic blue, metallic green, sky blue, OD Green.
