Ok so I have been back and fourth to the dealer a few times with a Minor vac leak on the taco.

These folks can’t seem to find it and continue just wildly guess. (And discuss with Toyota engineering) Now I just get a call back claiming that they spoke with Toyota and they say my tonneau cover is the issue because upon installation I must have drilled a hole in the tank fill neck line... except it’s a no drill installation and I don’t drill holes in my bed for any reason.

Has anyone had a similar experience or any recommendations on this dealership run around?

Make them show you the puncture. Call Toyota corporate. Use social media.

This. Also start posting reviews everywhere where they are listed and like myTaco said go on social media for Toyota and their dealership and start making posts about how you have been treated.

Since the last post they have called back and said “hey we found out you were right, those holes are in all the Tacoma’s on the lot” so long story short we still don’t know anything.

At least they keep sprinting for a rental. That’s the plus side the downside is it’s no Tacoma.

Is this a for real Toyota dealership, or just some place that sells all cars and trucks?

This is a real Toyota dealership, they amaze me with what they can mess up. Their techs are apparently useless.

Request for a Tacoma rental? That’s what I’d do.

Lol idiots thinking you drilled the drain holes.

Wonder how long they will play with it instead of just smoking the lines

The engine in my brothers Silverado went out 3rd week of June. He pulls a 31 foot trailer. (He still doesn't have his truck back) He was given a tiny Chevy car, I don't even know what it is. He missed the entire summer pulling his trailer, had 3 different weeklong camping trips planned. He tried to explain to them he needed something similar, but they don't care. Tried to get them to let him borrow a used truck on the lot so he wouldn't miss all his vacation, nope. Didn't happen.
