OK, Need advice! LED Light bar mounting

OK, so I have to take off my topper where i currently have the lights mounted. It will not fit with the mobility crane I need in the back for my chair. So, Where and how to mount the lights? I am thinking of a roof rack to add them onto??????

Not sure how well that will work but I love having my lights. They come in very handy in the mountains. Front and back are not a big problem but the side lights are.

Any thoughts????

 

What about like a headache rack that you mount them vertically on the sides and angle them out to where youd need the light?

 

Yup. Could even make the lights pivot so they could be put in a horizontal position when needed.

 

I like that idea I could keep it down under cab heigth even to help keep the MPG up! Have to ponder that idea.

 

By the way... I've previously had a similar setup with lights mounted on the roof rack, shining to the side of the truck. It was cool and all, but I later came to the conclusion that having portable, magnetic, $20 lights that I could simply stick to the bed side was a heck of a lot more convenient.

Yeah, no where near enough light output. I use these up in the mountains pretty regularly for a lot of things. I do a lot of work with first responders for radio equipment training. They are also great to just flip a switch on dash and have instant bright light when needed.

I am liking the headache rack idea. Make some fold nown brackets and have them remote activated. Lots to ponder.
