I’m guessing it’ll be a new version of flash manager

Can anyone tell me if the tune has historically made driving the truck so that it never feels unnatural? I have a 2018 TRD OR DCSB and just had the recent updates applied based on 0058-18. While I certainly think it is an improvement over the the previous version, the transmission still overall feels unnatural to me, basically what I mean by that is that I notice it vs just enjoy driving it.

I’m sure I could pinpoint when I notice it, but the fact that I notice anything other than, I push on the pedal and the vehicle responds with more or less acceleration depending on how much I press on the pedal, seems crazy to me..is this to be expected with modern transmission/computer integration?

I know all vehicles have their quirks and I ultimately think I could settle into knowing how it drives well enough to align better to it, but Ive been driving it for about a month and a half now, less than 1200 miles, and still find it catches me off guard in an annoying way. If it didn’t, I likely wouldn’t be writing in this thread..

Based on the volume of frustrated owners in the forums, I am just curious how the new tunes don’t sort it out without requiring updates. In other words, have all versions of the tunes ironed out the issues, and newer versions just tailor the previous tunes to driver preference?

I placed my order this morning for the OV Tune! Approximately how long does it take from point of order to receiving the hardware?

Do you have 91 in your area or are you filling up 93? Here in Texas, its mostly 93... 1.05 will provide a 93 map with increased powah! Im already filling it so im looking forward to the extra gogo

I'm wondering since you ordered so close to 1.05 release that there's no reason to give you 1.04 o_O. I'm not sure. I had 1.04 ordered and flashed over about 4 days. You might be waiting with the rest of us for 1.05.

@OVTune something on my mind is, you're making 91 and 93 octane power maps, the premium octane in my general area is 92, what's your thoughts on that in terms of the 91 vs 93 octane maps?

92 on the 93 tune = no good
    92 on the 91 tune = good

Could get knock/ other issues if running lower octane than what you are tuned for.

It’s pretty straightforward right there... not good running an octane lower than the engine is tuned for.

I know the whole knock thing, but a 1 octane difference at nearly sea level. I'm more asking if there's also a 92 octane map since that will benefit me more than the 93, which is only at Sunoco (for me)

Im sure if you provided data logging for Matt that could possibly fall under the ‘custom tuning’ we dont have 92 here in socal.
