Anyone have a 4Runner sunglass compartment?

    Fox 2.0 Coilovers in the front and Fox 2.0’s in the rear, Total Chaos UCA’s, Al-lpro expo leafs, K&N cold air intake, TRD headers,Magnaflow catback exhaust,URD short throw shifter, switched out my 60/40 bench seat for some Tacoma Limited seats, Replaced the vinyl shift boot for a leather one, completely soundproofed the cab w/ Frost King. Replaced stock radio with a Pioneer AVH series head unit. Focal component system w/a 10" sub powered by 2 Alpine amps. Weathertech floor mats. Line-X'd the bed. SCS Ray 10’s, Installed an A.R.E. MX series camper shell. All-Pro Apex front bumper w/ All-Pro skid plates all the way back to the Trans. Low Range fuel skid plate.
    I’m driving with my buddy in his truck and he pulled his sunglasses out of the visor compartment. I know I’ve seen people with the 4Runner compartment in their 1st gen.Does anyone know which gen 4Runner it is that I can put in my 03 Truck? (Pic is just a reference of my buddies F-150:anonymous:)

    I had to epoxy a nut to the roof to mount the rear of it. I also had to trim the sides to match the contour of the headliner.
    3rd gen 4runner is 96-02, but this might only be in the 99-02 range, I'm not sure. There is also a version with a switch for a sunroof.

    If you find one in a junkyard I suggest examining the way the rear mounts. I welded a nut onto the piece of thin steel, then epoxied that to the roof skin. It has held up fine, but there may be a bracket in the 4runner that you could use. The front mounts by just sliding plastic tabs into the holes where the stock map lights go.

    It’s not a 4Runner sunglasses case but I can fit 4-5 pairs of sunglasses in my over head console. It also has 2 USB ports so I can charge my tablet in there. The usb’s go to the aux battery and solar so they can charge all the time. It also holds a 50 watt Ham radio.

    It’s pretty pricy. I’ve had it for about 2 years or so. As much as I like it I’m not convinced of it being worth the cost.

    I needed to modify it quite a bit to fit the roofline of our trucks. It barely fits between the visors but it works pretty well.

    Oh and the LED lights in it kick ass. Each light has its own switch plus there’s a switch for all the lights. I rewired that switch to turn the front facing camera on and off.
