The amount I extended it would be the same amount I took away from it, so it should have the same up and down travel as it was before the lift. I had one side on a bump stop and the other end fully extended and didn't bottom out or top out either side

Hey all! Been lurking on here for months, and finally took mine home last week. My plan was to wait until next year until I read Inferno was being discontinued. Orange is my favorite color, so it was now or never.

I don’t have much desire to hit trails as of now, so I went with the DCSB Sport with tech and premium packages. I checked 94 dealerships closest to me, and only 1 dealership 2 ½ hours away had it. Anyone else have this configuration? Seems like the OR in this color is much more available at least in the NJ/NY area.

I’m not looking to do anything crazy with it as of now. I like the orange bezels (dealership wanted to charge me 200 bucks in parts, 200 in labor to install), so I’ll probably end up doing that myself. Step bars will be next, and probably decals for the sill protectors and glove box (in orange, of course). Like many, my goal is to not spend too much extra on my truck…stop laughing, please.

Overall, I'm pleasantly surprised. This is my first truck and first V6 vehicle. Reading the forums here I thought I was buying an overpriced junk box from Mexico with an underpowered engine, schizophrenic automatic transmission and the water resistance of the captain's quarters of the Titanic. Loving this truck so far. I may be biased, but the color is sharp.

Obligatory photo of my stock af truck:

    Welcome! Nice truck! :taco:
    Which bezels are you replacing?

    Welcome!
Yeah, I also have a DCSB Sport with tech and prem. There was nothing anywhere in the area when my dealer did the search, so they placed a factory order for me. It took about 2 months for it to come in. I told my salesman that it was a race between the truck and my baby, haha. Picked up the truck 3 days after my little girl was born!
Congrats on being able to find the config you wanted!

Same here. Trying to find an Inferno DCLB Sport Premium/Tech was like looking for a needle in a haystack. I ordered mine back in May and should be arriving any day. Good looking truck, have fun with it.

I'm looking to do the inferno trim around the radio and instrument cluster. Seems to be about 110 in parts and 15 minutes work. Dealership wanted 400. Then again, they also wanted to charge installation for a bed mat .

Congratulations on the truck and baby. When I went to pick mine up it was in the detail bay. They have large windows from the showroom to look in and it felt like watching my sons in the hospital nursery after they were born. My 4 year old absolutely loves the truck. The other day he asked if he can go outside and sit in it, then he asked if he could hug it.

I was really looking for the orange trim on the dash and seats, but figured the truck I found was better than potentially no truck at all. My understanding was that they weren't taking orders for 2018s anymore.

Interesting too was that mine had a build date of mid-July. I looked at a couple mgms and they had build dates of April or March.

Welcome. I'm sure you are enjoying the hell out of your truck. Our trucks are cousins. Mine is a '17 Inferno OR DCSB w/tech package - although mine is no longer stock. I've changed out the grille, wheels, tires, suspension, CAI, applied all of the obligatory orange decals, debadged the tailgate and added the black TACOMA inserts - plus a few other things. :)

    It's even cheaper than that...maybe $7 total!

Check out pages 287 & 288 of this thread:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/inferno-thread.391466/page-287

Basically, you just need a can of Rust-Oleum in Satin Paprika and then a clear coat of your choosing.

Yep, I came across that earlier as I was reading through the entire thread and dreaming of my own truck. It seems easy enough but I'm not sure I trust my painting skills. Guess I can practice on some other things first. I did check and my local HD had that color a few weeks back. I was going to buy it but didn't want to put the cart before the horse!

Yes, forgot about the tailgate decals! I have a birthday coming up in a few weeks and I anticipate most of the items from my wishlist will be given out by my wife as gift ideas for the family.

You might be the first Inferno with that sweet hood decal. Which size did you get? Looks awesome! Who needs a silly hood scoop. ;)
