    Brand new so nothing yet.

First I’ll say I don’t want to piss anyone off, but I’m not surprised there are issues with these systems. I honestly think they are dangerous. 5 year old cars have issues with something as simple as windshield wiper technologies. I can’t imagine the issues these will have in a few years, and the price of the upkeep.

Yea can’t say I really trust it either. I planned on keeping it off anyway. I’m just worried now that the whole electrical system is screwed. Wondering about this trucks electrical future.

Yeah I wonder the same. Amazing trucks but it would worry me.

This is why I shouldn't go on the internet. Got a '19 TRD OR DCSB MT on order now I'm worried I'm gonna miss my '99 Cherokee simplicity....

For the sake of conversation, in the future if the electronics get all screwy, would it be possible to have a custom shop go and remove the safety systems from the car? (ignoring the possible insurance repercussions) Would this just be a fuse and a re-flash of the computer or is it all too tied together?

Or I'm just having a case of pre-buy remorse

Doubt it. All the electronics snake thru the engine, and your ecu is tied in to all that. Just get the extended warranty if you’re that concerned.

I have a 2018 with this. I changed out the grill to a steel one and the sensor doesn't go through because it uses millimeter waves. When I turn the sensor off via the center console, it registers that it is off but still shows the warning.... every time I hit the gas. The dealership doesn't want to disable it either so I will probably swap my grill for a pro one.

5 months owning 18' OR..so far the Truck yelled "Brake" twice. ( uphill curves). But with heavy rains the PCS turns off automatically.

I want to permanently disable the system so truck can be used in South America off road. Don’t need warning messages and other problems related to this system. And no dealership to take it to to fix!!

It's a shame Toyota is putting this system in all of their trucks. The potential for issues :confused:when so many people mod the front ends with bumpers and grills and stuff is so much higher

Yeah bad Toyota making trucks safer, shame on them. They should just let us die.

Safety systems sometimes not better. ABS for instance can cause accidents off road!! If it’s sandy or loose surface the brakes are useless!! I have to install an ABS disable switch on my builds.

For OFF Road the Pre collision is useless and can be a hinderance with faulty sensors and system warning failures only the dealer can fix!!
