That's why I love this thread. If I start to think I have a problem I can hang out here and feel like a teetotaler.20180824_211944.jpg

Yeah, I don't want to get in a contest with any of you Canadians. You guys and the Russians. Who would win?

Good question, willing to take on that challenge.

I'll be the challenger. Trust me, we will win!

Demographics don't speak to individuality. I might not be the drunkest, but there are a few things that I can drink a hell of a lot of, vodka is one. Can definately think of a few beverages I can't. Well probably most, but vodka isn't one of them, trust me, no competition.

I learned some valuable lessons during my 1999-2000 deployment to Bosnia.

Americans cannot drink wine with Italians.
Americans cannot drink beer with Germans.
Americans cannot drink gin with the British.

    And worst of all...

Americans can’t hang doing Black Jack shots with Spaniards. I mean, Jesus, those hombres can put the Jack Daniels away and not ever slow down. I watched them drink my Chief, who was from Tennessee, straight under the table.

We need to get our shit together and start drinking at 16 like everyone else.

Capt, I really hate to tell you this, but I've got to be honest. Americans think they can drink, but they are actually quite light weights. I think it's all due to your really light beer. I mean, c'mon, put some alcohol in there!

My grandpa bought me a gun before I even popped out. I think I was 6 when he might have regretted getting me that pump bb gun, I couldn't find any birds to shoot, so I shot out all the lights on the farm truck. I'm surprised I didn't get my ass beat or lose my shooting privileges.

I can’t drink normal American beer. Fell in love with British stouts and am constantly hunting for local micro equivalents.

I have a funny story from that Bosnia deployment regarding two RCAF corporals from Toronto who got pissed at, like, everyone, and angrily had to teach all us “fookin amatures” how to shovel snow. We all took offense, and it was on.

15 minutes later, I realized that I had no idea how to shovel snow...and I lived in Spokane WA at the time.

I'm sitting on my 3rd beer wondering how bad the hangover is going to be tomorrow, but then I think about how my sipping a frozen margarita outside in February is a pleasurable experience and I kind of feel alright about my tolerance.

LOL, I heard this story from you before.....classic! I'm from Montreal, so Toronto sucks, but living in Vancouver now makes me suck when it comes to snow! One snow fall a year is lame, melts next day, no need to shovel.
