Pet Peeve: When my sister in law keeps saying "Your camera is amazing". Recently my cousin saw me with my camera and asked if I was a photographer (ok, stupid question), I said yes, my sister in law said something about how good my pictures were, and my cousin said, "So you are pretty good, huh?" and the SIL said, "It's his camera, it's really amazing"....I said, "Well, it's a little of both".

Does she not see how insulting she is being? And trust me, I can show a great number of bad photos that also came out of this amazing camera.

    Never enough
Just hand her the camera and ask her to take an amazing photo of you, or anything for that matter. Should shut her up pretty quickly.

Lol who cares. I tell people it’s the camera doing the work and I’m just pressing the button. People who know enough are the ones who understand it’s a joint effort between you and the canera, but 90% you lol.

Unfortunately no, they don’t realize it. My friends and family took a while to understand it and hard head finally got when I handed him the camera and said “If you think the camera does all the work, here give it a go.” His photos were garbage and I used the race car analogy for him, i.e. it might be a great piece of equipment, but you have to know to use it.

I really don’t like “auto pro” photogs. If you can’t do it manually, quit your bragging and shut your trap.

I was just practicing guitar and I thought, if my sister in law saw me she would probably say "That guitar is amazing", lol

Take a shitty pic of her, and tell her it’s the subject that makes it easy, not the camera.

My sister really loves it when she gets volunteered by another family member to photograph someone/something. Especially when they assume the photos are going to be free/cheap. Of course by “love” I mean despise. :D

Most people don’t understand the work that goes into good photos. Particularly if it’s a long session with tons of pictures.
