Yeah I'm aware. I used to work in the steel industry. Aluminum is just a bit softer, but it could hold up to some minimum drops and skids. It wouldn't hold a 4 foot drop, but I'm not doing any of that. Mobtowns design with the full gusset wrap around would work with aluminum. At that point its just cost and work involved. From what I see it's just people go with steel for cost efficiency and durability

 

Wait for labor day or black friday....order which you want. Prepare to wait 3 to 4 months.
Or there are some slider-similar options....available quicker...

 

This, why I'm probably going to make the switch myself next summer esp with the towing I do with mine.

Just picked up my truck. Molle has it from 8:30-430 today. They said the vibration was caused by warped front rotors, so they turned them.
They also said that they applied a the update per TSB. I didn’t get a calibration id print out, but on the short drive home I didn’t notice any difference.
Service advisor also said the clunk in the front end is the sound of the brake pads shifting forward and backward in the caliper when moving in reverse then drive to forward.

 

Still makes the same noise after I back out of my driveway and start to drive down the street. Talked to Jordan, assistant service manager, who said it is normal in all Toyota’s after 2010.

Haven’t checked the vibration yet but I assume it is fixed after they turned the front rotors.

Hopefully I’ll have more time to drive it before the meet tomorrow.
