Bleach is worse. Sugar doesn't do much really. Just give your truck diabetes

We may have once put 10lbs of sugar in a impound car and let it run for a few hours. No effect on the bucket BMW. Waste oil made it smoke out the street tho...lol

I do mind paying taxes. The government is the least efficient spender of tax dollars. I saw this first hand as a state employee during the economic crises. I remember clearly going out and picking up thousands of dollars worth of unneeded new equipment. They were worried that if they didn't spend the money it would be chopped out of the department's budget.

You guys done and made me fear for my truck since I have it parked in San Francisco. My Civic was equipped with a LoJack from the last owner, maybe I’ll invest in one for the truck.

Get something that pings you, because by the time you find out it's gone, it could be stripped.

Me, I'd just leave it at home and get a beater.

Put a club on it and kill switch. They'll still break a window and steal stuff. But you'll have your truck

I think kill switch is an excellent idea. What’s the best way to wire one?

He's right, 1st gens get stolen more than any other truck out here in SoCal for sure. They're everywhere, they're small and easy to get into, and they fetch top dollar used...prime target.

The first few months after I got mine and had dealer plates on, I got pulled over twice and both times the cop told me they were looking for a truck that fit mine's description that was reported stolen. Hasn't happened since I got my plates and modified the truck though.

Med/Surg RN, not ER so none of that OMG its triage time

Keep telling you, be more worried about the CAT being taken. That is more likely to happen than your truck being MIA in the morning.

I thought about doing a kill switch but the overpriced alarm the dealer sold me on disengages the starter if it isn't deactivated properly so I just go with that. Best thing to do too is don't leave anything in your truck, especially in a city full of crack heads.

That I can't say. But I would make sure it cuts power to the coils. No spark, no run. And I doubt they'll push it. But if they have a tow truck all bets are off..thats rare tho
