I am only going to post another jeep comment and then stop but I have to tell everyone.....I have spun wrenches for many years and could never figure out why people went off roading with passenger vehicles. It is kind of like the old iphone / android debate. Every year android would come out with what would be called the latest iphone killer. They never were but they were always chasing the iphone. Eventually I figured out that I just needed to get the iphone! Well...I owned a CJ7 for about a week 25 years ago and never even drove it. I bought it for $200 and my neighbor offered me $2000 so it quickly disappeared from my driveway! I recently purchased a 2010 Rubicon 4 dr because I came accross a screaming deal. After spending some time researching these vehicles and looking for parts I discovered that there isn't anything on the planet that has as much aftermarket support as a Jeep! I think there are like 97 choices for a front bumper! Not to mention.....wow are parts expensive for Yota's. I wanted a rear bumper with tire swing for my 2013 Tundra and at the time if you could even find someone to make it you were paying like $1800-$2100. You can get a rear bumper with tire swing out for a jeep brand new for like $350 powder coated and shipped to your door! Plus....anyone build anything like this for Taco's???

Maybe the internet should be regulated like the motorways. You have to be at least 16 years of age and hold a valid operator's permit.

Only because people are this stupid.

I'm going to need a moment alone after watching that video, pure car p0rn. :jerkoff:

I had a Jeep for 15 years and byrlonator nailed it. Toyota screwed the pooch back in the 80's when they went to the IFS suspension. The best stock off roader since then has been the various CJ's and Wranglers. When you start modding a vehicle for off road costs soon become irrelevant, but bang for your buck still goes to the jeep, check out the video above for proof.

I am sure you are correct. I just remember working on jeeps (as a professional mechanic) in the late eighty's and found them to be really problem ridden. My opinion is based on purely anecdotal evidence.

They definitely have their demons for sure. But they make up for it in other areas.

I'd be willing to put money down that a majority of people who wheel a truck (passenger vehicles are sedans or minivans, not pickup trucks) also daily driver their trucks. If I wanted a dedicated off road rig I maybe then would buy a Jeep. I need something useful, that I can throw some supplies in the back or do whatever a pickup can do but I also want to go have fun with it. Try throwing lumber in the back of a Jeep... Oh wait, it is parked at the mall, not the home supply store... My "passenger vehicle" sees more dirt going down my driveway than a majority of jeeps see in their entire lifetimes.

Also, iPhone has been chasing Android for many years and is often several years behind the curve.

This cracked me up! The reason why there is a market for iphones and androids is because every phone owner has different needs! The unaware are the ones that claim one is better than the other. The intelligent person disregards opinion and purchases what works best for them. I don't have a clue who you are as a person so please don't take this out of context and imagine I am calling you out on something. What I am saying is that I learned to go figure things out on my own because I don't know what I don't know!

To me a phone is a disposable appliance, electronic leash and nothing more.

I keep my phone as long as I can. I don't care what kind it is or what it can and can't do. My ring tone remains the factory default.

Have I mentioned I hate apps as much as key fobs.
