Better have fucking gold and silver in it, and waxed and buffed by God himself if I'm paying two grand for a damn detail.

Is it worth it? How long can that possibly last?

Women have essential oils men have ceramic coatings. There's not a chance in hell I'd pay what people want for ceramic coatings. I don't see how it's really better than a good paint sealant.

Maybe on a brand new car or if you got your car freshly re painted then its worth it. But its not worth doing on old paint in my opinion

I've already spent a ton of money buying parts to have my truck repainted and I still won't spend the money on it. I'll use the same paint sealant I always have used since i got this truck.

He does have another thing in common with you... oh and 4 cars down from him was another identical black taco with just as bad paint damage. I made sure to park right next to this guy though :)

What I want to know is WTF is wrong with toyota paint? Yeah you see it on other manufacturers but it seems to always be on toyotas. Forest green, definitely. White seems to be the exception. I recall asking about this in a paint discussion and the response from one person claiming to be a painter was that white didn't have a clearcoat. I wasn't aware of that. Whatever the case, glad I bought a 040 tacoma. Hell, I've seen 2nd gen tacos with severe roof paint damage to the point of the paint being completely gone and rust setting in. I would be pissed to see a 1st gen, 16 yr old truck with near perfect paint next to my less than 10 year old truck with a rusty roof. sucks.

Well the second gen I saw with the rust laden paint gone roof was blue but yeah, terrible. Are you opting for the same color or going with another?

If someone had thrown me a sensible offer two weeks ago like say $6k or so I would have bailed out and bought a 3rd Jen. I only got bullshit offers from bullshit people via text. I'm kind of not buying some of the crazy prices these trucks are selling for.
