I do the same each year. I normally give one deer to this lady I know so she can have some deer meat for the year. I just pay for the processing so she doesn’t have to.

Illinois is a badass state. I went to Canton a couple years back to back a few years ago. I didn’t kill anything, but I did see a couple big ones just nowhere near bow range.

If you hate mosquitos as much as me, try a Thermacell. I hunt in swampy areas and it worth its weight in gold. It puts out a small amount of scent but I'm usually covered in sweat anyhow. I've shot 3 or 4 does with it on and some areas I hunt, it would be impossible to sit there without some type of protection.

Illinois has some shitty laws, but I sure do love hunting there. Hope you have a great season!

This is my picture total from my cheap Wildgame Innovation camera. It's sat there for a couple of years and I never take it down

The first several years I started hunting, we shot anything that walked by in Missouri and Illinois. We had tons of fun. Back then we didn't know any better, or care. Now I try to take the itch out on does.20170901_134446.jpg

Yea I got to move the cameras...

Need to go deeper into the woods I guess closer to the swamp areas.
This was the only thing on the camera

I’m no expert, but that deer has to be like 170 or bigger. That has length on every time and damn good mass!
