Haha, I averaged 8 MPG dragging the camper to central NY on Friday. I was doing pretty well until the Berkshires. I hit a lot of traffic, got sick of it and out the hammer down. Subsequently, that was immediately followed by the gas needle dropping like a stone Going up one of the long, steep grades, I stepped out and floored it to get around some gutless cimpact and my oldest made the comment ‘Daddy, your truck can make monster truck noises’. I thought it was pretty funny but apparently my wife did not share my enthusiasm as all 6.2 liters of fury was spinning at 4,500 rpm.

 

Must have been making your way to the highest elevation on the pike

 

Had an Alfa q4 yesterday. First I had seen, looks nice from all angles imo.


Someone also had the cleanest looking second gen I’ve ever seen. Looked like it drove off the lot that day. Didn’t get a pic tho besides it being in the background of this one

That hill can really get in the way sometimes.

 

That Blandford hill on the pike is def a bitch. Almost ran out of gas coming up it a few times. Thankfully the rest stop is at the top, since I have had a few 2-5 gallon over what the tank is rated for fill ups

 

Still having speedometer issues

Can anyone help? My speedometer goes everywhere. Seems to co scantly do it. Can’t tell when and how. New reverse switch about a year ago, new transaxle output speed sensor last week.

 

Yep, held it at 72 the whole way. Transmission temp didn’t budge either.

 

Had one of those in a service truck when I was in Texas. Great engine. Was happy I didnt have to pay for gas though!
