What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

No biggie. I think when he originally posted about it, people were hoping that was an option and whynit was so expensive. That or the cooling steering wheel. Something that would justify why they were charging so much

 

I just realized from a pic I had taken that I didn't get all of my pin stripes off when I removed them 6 months ago. That's what I will do to my third gen today.

 

North east. I park in a parking garage at work and have garage at home! If it was parked outside, I would not black wrap the roof.

 

The fin is a tough one! Cut a slit at the front and stop well short of the back of the fin. Measure your required slit in advance. The wrap will stretch over the back of it just fine. I messed it up and had to make a patch to cover the mistake. It is on top, so you really don’t see it. Good luck.

 

Installed a combination voltmeter/USB charger yesterday. No biggie; black wire to ground, red wire to power. It was good it was simple because the translated directions were useless and hilarious. The first step was what caught my eye, since all my projects will have a loud splat somewhere.

Thanks to @bbn75 for the lead on the voltmeter and @mesojdm for the fuse box cover that greatly simplified the add-a-circuit.

 

Installed these cement dash decals from @rrentrop. They came out good!!

 

Today brought a cab mount chop and pinch weld fold in anticipation of a suspension/wheel/tire upgrade.

 

Yep. Drilled the four holes required, per side. I haven’t noticed any difference driving.

Pull up the install video on YouTube. Just type in cali raised light bar(video is done on a Baghdad beige tacoma). Pro tip: leave passenger side bracket off until you have the light bar down in place then proceed.
