Back out Lakewood Brewery today. Having a cool slightly sour saison that’s been aged in port wine barrels.02C1ADC4-19C5-4B6B-9D56-8E8B9D186E66.jpg

Love this thread.... I read through it everyday and get thirsty!!

I'll be regular contributor here in a few days. I primarily work overseas (currently in Iraq :frusty: ) and often in places with shit beer. However, I get home on the 30th and that will change for about a month and a half before departing again... I live in the Northern Virginia and there is no shortage of good breweries in the area with Aslin, Ocelot, Vanish, Adroit Theory, Crooked Run and Fairwinds being my favorites. Also several good bottles shops in the area and DC that have selections from all over. Lastly, I'll be taking a trip to Portland, Maine the first week of October that should be epic as far as beer and breweries go!

Thanks to the regular contributors that give me something to daydream about though when I can't drink good beer or beer at all!

I’m a big fan. Resiny hop flavor and mouth feel. Lots of cascade hop flavor: pine and grapefruit.

    Tasty
I always prefer dunkels over helles.
One of my favs with lots of sludge.
best part of the pour is swishing the last inch and shaking it out like a ketchup bottle.
