I watch F1 religiously, many of the drivers praise this track and say it's one of their favourites especially since they tend to race here in October, when the heat isn't as much of a concern. These guys are top athletes.

What keeps spectators away is the damn price to attend races, not just the price of tickets, but between parking, travel, concessions.... Just not feasible for the locals. Despite being a fan, I've only been twice, and one time it was due to obtaining free tickets.

If they flooded the market with cheaper GA tickets, I bet they could fill the place, rake in more concession and gear money, gain new fans. Rinse, repeat. Instead it'll continue being an elite event, which is why F1 as a whole has been on a decline, and many notable tracks around the globe have pulled out of hosting Grand Prixs.

The entire sport is suffering due to cost. Between losing spectators, to teams going bankrupt due to current car regulations. It's just not feasible long term. Which is why the proposed "formula" for 2021 is a step in the right direction towards cost cutting, yet the dominant teams are opposing change.... Typical politics bull.

Talked to a few riders, part of the reason xgames is gone was the heat. They loved the facility and the city but between the triple digit temperatures and high wind speeds across the jumps, it wasn’t comfortable or safe.

COTA is unfortunately not pulling the profits they claimed 10 years ago. Maybe it’s time to host more local events.

ESPN and COTA split because of profits on both sides; COTA was losing on more profitable auto events they couldn't hold because of the time frame it needed to be held, because ESPN didn't want it to interfere with later summer sports events...

Emily just sent me the second picture... I think she's doing 3-5. Or more. I have no idea. She's been busy this weekend but wants to work on 'em more this week. We we're out there for 4 hours, got a sheeeeyt ton.

Which of the spark ones do y'all like better?!
