Yep it just needs to get here. I already started on the one and I’m nice I figure out what I need I’ll just double it for the other side. I’ll go ahead and drill all the holes slso

    Getting Jacked Up:

So after our fantastic adventure I had the repairs to make. As shown before I got 1 of the 2 new front jacks in the other should be in later this week as it was shipped from Alaska? Really? Oh well. So I got all the holes drilled all 32 of them. I ended up having to make 1/8" spacer plates for the bottom 4 holes on each side as the box hung over that much. This allowed the jack to mount flush with the bottom frame support and the box. I made 6"x6" x 3/16 plates for backers inside the box. I also used panel bonding adhesive when I bolted in the plate and sealed around it.

So 1 side is mounted and done. Everything is ready for the other side I just need the jack.

I'm so glad I have the sense to listen to James and recieve constructive criticism well. Hell I'm the first to admit when I just don't know. These will be fantastic and they hang down an inch less than the factory ones that were just made out of stamped sheet metal.

So after working on the jacks I got into some hard core fab work, LOL. Our girls gave us some "Happy Camper" stuff. One item was a fabric place mat. Christie sewed some rings on the back of it and I took a 6' piece of 1/4" round and made a stand for it for when we go to camp grounds and stuff. Fun little 10 minute project. And best of all she was tickled

If need be you can take the foot off also and get a little more clearance. Nice little project that makes it that much better. I like little things like this that just help out more than a big expensive mod but make life more enjoyable.

Looks good! You can either run without the foot if the road gets rough, or you could always raise the whole jack up by one bolt hole. I think it'll be fine the way it is, the foot on this will slide over anything better than the old one - and this isn't some wimpy little jack that's going to crumble at the first sign of dirt.....

These should really work great. The drop leg design should make it quicker and easier to deploy them. They should be more stable and the factory pieces were just stabalizers these actually jack. I may find a way to lift it high enough to remove the feet for off road adventures but they'll stay on for campgrounds and normal use. We're going to take it up on Skyline drive to mathews arm this weekend hopefully I have the other jack by then if not it's no big deal as I still have the stabalizer on the other side. It will be removed and become a spare for the rear when the other jack comes in.

No sir it most deffinately is not. If I eventually proceed with the plan we discussed the camper will be higher anyway. Right now it is solid as a rock on the front of the camper. Theonly real reason I thought about removing the legs is I'm just a little paranoid of clips and pins after our last adventure. In this case they should be well protected by the feet. At least I would hope so.

@Wild Crow , James do you strap the crank handles to make them stationary for transport so they're not moving around?

No, I just rotate them so they are pointing down. They never seem to go anywhere.

[IMG] We use this hitch pin with chained linchpin to hold the drop leg in place. Haven't lost one since going to this style

I have lost them even with the chains. Damn scouts can destroy anything. I keep telling my buddies in the military they need to stop military testing standards and just give it to a bunch of boy scouts they break more stuff and in ways that doesn't seem possible.

Never been a scout, and never give camping with them. Maybe that's why I haven't lost them yet.....
