Tore out the fence last night, posts are going in today and then the neighbour and I will put up the privacy fence over the next few nights. Ordered a gate kit off of Amazon that will hopefully show up soon. VERY excited to finally get this project started. I only wish I could afford do to the driveway at the same time.....

It is. You use it to wedge the top of the door frame open so you have an easier shot into the vehicle with a Slim Jim.

Shit, those things will pop a front door open too if the dead bolt isn't locked. The locksmith used it on both my car and door when we locked ourselves out.

Checked it out. The stuff they recommended was their open cell formula. They only had it in one size and said that the sections above the window may not be easy to do. Wasn't going to spend over $800 for that small section of wall near the radiator.

Will rent a blower. Bigger holes to patch. Oh well....

Me and a few of my buddies knocked my roof out last weekend. Went pretty smooth and saved myself about 3k in the process.

Helping the gf with her house. Old plaster curved walls and weird quirks. And to top it off had a total moment from ghost but where she wanted to use the festool drywall sander

I made huge progress on my kitchen renovation this weekend. I got 75% of the Sheetrock hung. Next time I’m back in town I hope to finish all the Sheetrock and start the tape and float.

I bought a Sheetrock hoist from harbor freight and that thing is a life saver.

My son loves watching me work and he will even pick up tools and imitate me. I can’t wait till he is old enough to help me.

I also successfully install a smart thermostat I got for free. I had to run a new 5 wire thermostat wire

Can anyone recommend a quality paint sprayer to finish cabinets and furniture. Client was originally going to have someone come in and paint the built ins I'm creating for them. I might take on the job myself instead. They don't care if I roll and brush them, but that's going to be too time consuming for me. What's best? Airless? HVLP? Willing to purchase a large compressor if needed. Here's one of the built ins without face frames or doors installed yet. Will have three more of similar size in this house, plus can use it around my house and on future projects.

Currently we are finishing up the spare bedroom flooring as well as getting the base painted and then installed. Cabinet door hardware showed up yesterday so this weekend i should be able to get a lot done.

Our next project is to tackle our sunroom/3 season room whatever people call them. Its a good space, fully sealed and water tight 17x16 room. It also has a nice covered area outside where i currently BBQ. Previous owner basically was out here 24/7 with a portable AC unit and it had residential carpet and furniture that i ripped out and im currently using it as a storage area until the inside of the house gets more complete.

My problem is right now it seems like a waste of space and ruins our backyard "flow" but i think with some tasteful changes it can be utilized properly.

My plan as of right now is install the carpet i have from work, paint the walls and we are debating installing wood trim to "frame" the windows so we dont see all the stainless trim and add window treatments. I also am planning on installing two proper exterior doors and key them to the rest of the house to help with visuals. Adding some window treatments, along with flooring and outdoor furniture should hopefully liven it up. Also i plan to add a ceiling fan in the center of the support that crosses from side to side as power is already ran.

If anyone has any other ideas or done similar let me know, im fully open to ideas to make this a better space. My end goal is for BBQ's, football games and events at the house for a place to entertain.

Also dont pay attention to the rest of the backyard. Its basically being gutted.
