You're right - wasn't paying enough attention. That would best be a question for WeBoost I think.

Mostly finished building the storage and cubby for the Propex today.

Bottom part holds propane and the Propex.

Top part is storage. Not sure how secure (read not) stuff will be there while driving so gonna have to figure out something for that. Maybe those new Goose Gear tie downs and some bungees?

The big things left to do is the propane, electrical wiring for the Propex, and cutting out/routing for the vents and air intake.

I'm going to put the vent on the bottom in that panel so it creates a more even heat (since heat rises) I think. If necessary I might create a little shelf/shoe nook so that the vent won't ever be blocked.

Plan on routing the cold air intake around the back and have it near the rear window.

Doing the electrical will probably be the hardest part since I need to swap out fuse blocks. My current Blue Sea fuse block has reached it's capacity and just bought one with 12 banks that I need to swap it with.

No video, but here's a shot of my back. On the left is two stacked drawers that I made. The top lid is on a hinge allowing me to use it as a chair and the fridge as a desk.

Middle is an Alu Box with Goose Gear step plate. I pull that out and use it to climb into my camper.

On the right is a Goose Gear fridge slide with a DIY stove slide.

The electrical wire hanging on the left is for my third brake light - still haven't wired that up.

Short term improvements - new stacked drawer system, similar to old but better built (I built it in a hotel room).

Longer term is to get rid of the Goose Gear fridge slide and build an all in one unit around an AT fridge/stove slide that also allows me to get stuff out of the fridge from inside of the camper.

appreciate the pics...just realized I'm following you on IG, saw the same image (initial image). I have a platform in the back of my truck right now, that has served us relatively well...still saying out my options and other peoples experience. I may gut the platform and cubby holes if I find a better way to make use of the space...thanks again for the pics.

Also happy with my wrap. Was hard to get an exact match to the Barcelona Red. But I’m happy with how close it is.

I’ve been gone from this thread for a bit and daaannng you guys are moving right along with the builds!!! :bananadance:

Quite honestly the last few months, weather in my area has been hovering around 95 degrees. The only mods I’ve been doing are organizing/rotating cold beer in the fridge!

@Iggy and @danneskjold I got the heater from Dometic so not sure if your build and product ideas will work with my heater but I’m definitely all ears! I wasn’t aware of the external Propex either...that’s gold!

I’ve been spending a ton of time away from the heat adventuring in Baja, so I’ll drop pics for those visual guys:hattip:

@Iggy dont hate me. I got lazy and the canvas supports didn’t quite make it up there this run haha

Haha! No worries! Which Dometic heater did you get I've been eyeing them too.

Progress on my build-out has been slower than I hoped, but it's completely from scratch and it's turning out to be bomb-proof so far, so I'll take it.
I should have some solid progress to share by next week.

@Porter707 asked me for dimensions on my (short bed) base platform, so I figured I might as well share them here as well.

(Insert usual disclaimers about this working/not working for you.)
    • 60" front to back
    • 42.5" across in front
    • 52.5" across in back (rear of the wheel wells)
    • 26.5" from the front is where I started curving out for the wheel well. But to give you a better idea, it would be ~ 27.75" from the front if I just did a straight diagonal cut.
    • 25" from the back is where I started curving in for the wheel well, but it would be more like 25.75" from the back if it was a straight diagonal.
    • And the diagonal for the wheel wells is around a 38 degree angle.

Finally got all the pieces of my Propex system installed and hooked up, unit will turn on but igniter won't fire (no heat comes out).

I bought a two stage propane regulator off Amazon I'm going to try and see if that fixes the problem. Next step is to find someone to do the copper propane piping that they want used (I used a rubber hose).

There's some blinking lights that should be able to tell me what's going on by the sequence of flashing..but I don't see a pattern or number so who knows

Those propex units have an intake and exhaust (located on the underside of the unit) that require hoses being routed to the outside. And if your propane is outside (i.e. on your swingout), then your gas line has to be routed outside also.

Not sure how you would route any of those outside without having to drill anything.
