“A little more lift” *** 2nd gen

hi guys,

I am looking to change my shocks and springs out both front and rear. They are stock right now. I would like to get a little more lift IF POSSIBLE....? I don’t want to go extreme but if there are strut assemblies that give me more lift without doing other mods I’m in. Thanks for the info!

Current setup is:

Base model 4cyl taco

Fat bobs front spacers
Rear AAL’s

Black box mod
30” kO2’s

Everything else is stock!

 

Any part numbers or advice? Don’t want to reinvent the wheel here.

 

Sadly the only lift you cane get is the spacer lift. Nothing else will work

 

body lift would work.

 

We don't have anymore options after the spacer/AAL, unless you decide to go Mid or Long travel. New struts and shocks might give you a slight lift, if your old ones are blown. I'm currently also running a 1in body lift on my truck.

Jump up to 33s with us if you want more lift

 

Might just do the 33’s. How exactly do I accomplish a body lift? What would I need for that? Does that intail spacers on the chassis?

 

Basically going to be like 10 hockey pucks wedged in between the body mount locations. I wouldn't really go past 1in, unless you wanna deal with other problems.

 

Did u do this body lift? How did it all workout?

 

Is this a 5 lug or prerunner?

Do I need to cut the wheel wells more to fit 33’s?

 

i did the 1 inch body lift. its really easy, and you can fit 33s.

 

Any down sides to the 1” body lift? Any additional parts I will need to do this?

 

I haven't experienced anything bad with mine. It's makes the truck look great. The kit comes worth everything you need. I got it to get extra clearance for the 33s.

Do you have pictures of the Tacoma after the body lift? Does your spare tire still fit under the truck bed like stock?

 

I don't have any but I can take some. My spare is a 235/70/15 which fits.

 

That would be awesome. Did u do anything about the gap on the rear bumper?
