Random question - with the 16x8 4.5BS and 285/75/16 have any issues with rub on the upper spindle arm? I'm running the typical spidertrax 1.25" bolt on spacer right now in order to run this combo without rubbing on the spindle arm (just fitted them today). Not a big deal but just wondering...

This is the first I've ever heard of someone running 4.5" bs with 285s and rubbing on the spindle. Would you be able to take the spacer off and show us a photo that the tire is actually resting on the spindle?

Sure I'll see if I can grab.a photo tomorrow. Honestly for all I know they might be a different backspacing than 4.5bs because I bought them used. I posted a photo a few months ago of the rim on here and was informed they were 4.5bs so I just assumed they were. I have the reinforced welded oem spindles if that makes a difference...

The reinforcements might be the issue, any other offset, like the 3.5 backspace would only make it more unlikely to rub where you're describing.

Makes sense I guess I should have waited for the right offset rims. I got these off Craigslist so it was a rare catch.

Looks is going to be subjective so that's hard to answer. What you can do is look at the manufacturer's specs and see if that size is approved for a 9" wide wheel.

Hey there, figured I'd throw this out- looking to buy a single 16x8 3.5 BS -25mm, preferably in gunmetal to complete my set as a spare. Preferably used, preferably in the SoCal area. I have an upcoming road trip to the mountains, and the stock 2004 spare under the bed looks like itll crumble if looked at wrong.

So it appears that the all-pro spindle gussets are what's causing the issue. Nothing I can do about it now unless I source a new spindle and get another brand gusset to have welded to it...

The photo below is the truck back on the ground with the f5's in 4.5bs with stock lca's and camburg uppers. Whiteline bushing in the lca's along with the all pro spindle reinforcement.
Tires are ST Maxx 285/75/16 at about 50% life
2.75" of lift up front with the king 2.0's

That is correct, it's the gussets that causing the issue. The only thing I can recommend is to run our 3.5" bs wheels with your current setup.

Or say f' it and buy a new spindle setup and keep these 4.5bs :)
Either way I love the rims! Thanks again for helping me out with a spare - total life saver dude!

    Edit: Ordered

What’s the expected delivery time to the east coast, 8-10 business days or so?

Any idea when a set of matte black 3.5 bs wheels in either 16 or 17 will be available. Looking at scooping up a set.

They're listed on the website, does that not mean they're available? 16x8 and 17x9 3.5BS in matte jet black.

You need to select a finish and then I think it grays it out

But, it appears they have some matte dark bronze in stock.

Almost seems impossible lol, get em!
