Enough to make it a lot of fun!
It was disappointing but not to be pissed about. I have certificates for all my tires, so I am good to go.

That is so true. We give Brett a lot of crap so he has to try and get a punch in when he can

    Plethora of "useless" shit
SoCal can be ridiculous with the petty "fixit" tickets, especially CHP and in/around San Diego. I think up here speeding tickets seem to be more strict(i.e. CHP would let you go 5-10 over no problem, not so much here), but they don't seem to bother with the little things.

HAHA!!! It's only a matter of time before they strike! Even if the current owner says they have never had a problem with duracraps. Time to get some better tires @Night Eagle sucks when they blow doesn't it? I would say sorry but you were warned :smack:

Mine didn't just randomly blow on the trail like yours did. They took a hard hit on a rock. It was an unfortunate incident. I still stand by the duratracs. The way I look at it is, you have to pay to play.

Why did you go and get certificates!? Now you have to run duracraps longer. I must say once I went with cooper I will NEVER go back to duracraps.
PS don't think I would get the st maxx again not because they are terrible they are just overkill. I am digging the at3 LT's

I bought certs for this exact reason. I will hopefully go cooper when I go 35s but still run still run the duratracs in the winter.

There’s a guy on here that runs the AT3 also, he pops a tire almost every time he wheels, literally. I ran the AT3 in a C load on my 2nd Gen and liked them, but they didn’t feel as solid or planted as the ST Maxx.

Only complaint with duratracs.. As usual is they seem not great at balancing.

Two popped tires in easily 20k of offroading, both in situations no tire would've survived...both involved a dented rim from the hit.

But then again, duratrac haters would probably hold the other 5 against me that didn't survive an inferno. :D

Not sure what I'll go with when the next truck gets outfitted, but coopers seem overpriced for the minimal mileage you get out of them. KBros pick up and sling every rock, which is horrible when you daily on dirt.

For all those metallurgist on here. From my research I shouldn’t have a problem using a zinc plated steel rivnut in the interior of my camper? Looks like from what I can tell if it was a submerged or high salt environmental I would want to stick with stainless steel.

At least the whole sidewall didn't blow open like my duratrac. The other main issue with duratracs is when they get below half tread they turn into complete crap. Look into the brand new cooper at3 xlt it looks like a great tire. I went with the new at3 LT since I didn't need that aggressive of a tire for the Sequoia.

From my Aviation Corrosion QC class many years ago, you need to separate disparate metals meaning if it's not the same metal as your shell, get a plastic washer between them.

Yeah I'll have a while to research. But I'll be looking for a 35 that'll see long distance dirt for the baja trip.

That be me. Where are you looking at camping? There are a lot of good places to camp around here that are easy to get to.
