I've basically been a house cat today. Woke up, did some stretching and then went to eat breakfast in Galveston while soaking up some sun. Came home and napped for a while, woke up a little grumpy but ate again and was better and then I lay about surveying my kingdom for the rest of the day.

 

Nice! Today, noemi went to the Austin Cat expo...and didn't come home with a kitten!!!

I hate being sick at work. I think I'll just hide in my office and think quiet thoughts.

 

...but then people will insist on checking on you since it's not normal behavior, and quiet thoughts turn towards things that can "accidentally" happen in the workplace...

 

Already had a "bout" of guseiphus, but I'm feeling better now. I have my Halls Mentho-lyptus (with vapor action) so I can manage.

I can easily just work from home today (only have to ask) but I needed to work with someone today and do some training. I'm already working from home Tues/Wed, so I just have to get through today. I think I have an allergy-related cold, or picked up some weird back-to-school bug from people with kids (always happens - as soon as school starts everyone gets sick). My son isn't even in school anymore, but I work with folks with small kids and CHILDREN ARE GERM FACTORIES!!

 

Yup, lots of colds/allergies going around. Fully agree on the germ factory thing, when my kids were younger they were day-care kids, and I spent about 2-3 years catching bugs that put me down for days on end. Was hardly ever sick before, or since, that period (assuming had worked up some good bug killers in that time), but during,,, sucked big time.

 

Might be an exotic disease from a last minute vacation.

 

Have to go somewhere first.

 

See! That's the cool thing about disease, YOU don't even have to go. You just need to have some contact with someone who has.

Looking for a TW express from DFW to south west Austin/North San Antonio. I have a hi-lift up there that needs a ride to me. Let me know if anyone is available!

 

Also looking for this same route, except north Austin.

 

I would be more than happy to have it past to you temporarily or make the drive up there after work. Whatever works for the driver.
