I was told "CSF pushed this back, but they hope this will ship on 8/30".

For the 4Runner/FJ model or the possible Tacoma model. I have not heard confirmation of a Tacoma version but I havent kept in contact with CSF either.

I just pulled my grill off to install the upgraded Mercedes Supercharger coolant pump, so I figured I’d snap a pic for you.

Here’s my trans cooler with fan. There’s a link in the first page of my build thread with all the part numbers.

Pardon if it's been mentioned, but does anyone know if the 2nd gen and 3rd gen radiators are the same?

I'm pretty surprised there's this much interest in an upgraded radiator. I live in Texas and even when it was 110 for a week straight I never had issues with the Tacoma being able to keep its cool. And my radiator has a TON of bent fins from stuff hitting it over the last 150k miles. :p

Are you sure? Are you using a real gauge to monitor temps or your factory needle gauge. The factory gauge wont even move at all between 170 and 200! At least on my truck.

To be honest, just the stock needle gauge. At no point in 150k miles have I ever seen it climb. I could plug a dongle into the OBDII port and check it today but it's only going to get to 96 degrees.
I'm sure the truck runs a few degrees warmer when it's 110 outside but if it was seriously outside operating range I'm sure I'd be notified. Now, I've owned vehicles that did NOT notify you till it was too late. Mainly, my 1993 Turbo RX7. I had a digital readout for that one to make sure it stayed 83c at all times (87c at the track). But that was a vehicle with notorious cooling issues, running loads of boost, from a completely different era.

Don't get me wrong, cooler is always better. I get that. I just haven't really seen a lot of guys overheating their trucks I guess. Just sort of surprises me.

I drive from the Beaumont area to Lubbock multiple times a year, for school. 75mph in 105° ambient temps for 9 hours at a time is what makes me want to upgrade. In stop and go traffic in big cities, your temp goes up quickly, too..............also, being on my 3rd engine has me paranoid when it comes to the cooling system.

Yikes, 3rd engine?!? I'd be paranoid too!

You're right, idling and stop and go is the WORST for cooling. The bay gets zero airflow. From what I've found, highway speeds are actually better for cooling because the forced air pushes way more air through the fins. In an attempt to escape the Texas heat, I make the drive from Dallas, through New Mexico up into Colorado typically averaging 80-85mph during the summer. Although I've never had an issue you've got me curious what my ambient temps are.

Yes the highest temps are with an auto trans in stop and go in gear because trans fluid gets hot because the tc is not locked, ac condenser is hot which is getting pulled through the radiator as well.
I have been over 200° F while stopped reading from my Torque app and the needle never moved. I now have a 160°F thermostat in the truck and it runs about 175°F. The needle is in the same spot so I dont know at what temp the needle starts to rise over normal bits it's well over 200
