Now I see you have tires.
Hard to beat the 275s and ST maxx. The maxx is a tough tire and has softer sidewalls so it's not stiff, perfect for Tacomas..
I had 275 AT3s now I have 285 ST maxx.... The maxx is much better off road... I don't have to deflate as much any more and never just for trails... Air pump just comes along for the ride...

Honestly 265/70/17 c rated ko2s are the sweet spot with no lift. They look great and do great off road

Those look nice. What lift do you have and does it rub?

17x8.5, 0 offset, 4.75" backspace rim. Completely stock TRD OR suspension. Tires are flush with the fenders, maybe half an inch wider than them actually. Stance is phenomenal.

    1 week update:

Loving it so far. Only have taken it "Florida off road" once so far and from what I can see there are absolutely zero signs of rubbing. Average MPG's dropped about 1MPG, but that could also be that I've been driving in ECT mode to get a little more power to push these heavier tires. Tires are almost as quiet as the stock wranglers. Highly recommend this setup/size.

I am yet to have the truck aligned, I'm looking for a place that offers a lifetime alignment and although the guys that mounted the tires for me at Firestone were great, it didn't seem they knew as much about alignment physics as I would want them to. They did check the alignment for free and the results are interesting. If anyone could chime in with some recommendations as far as what to ask for, that would be much appreciated.

As far as I know, there is zero adjustability for the rears. In the front, typical goal is to keep toe and camber as close to 0 as possible, and as much positive caster as possible.

I hear that caster can only be adjusted with aftermarket UCA's, and I know that of course toe is adjustable, but what about camber? Does stock suspension offer camber adjustment?
Does changing toe/camber also have an effect on caster though?

8.5" wide actually. Did everything in that order and still no rubbing :( Did I do it wrong?

Why not 255/80 r17 or 255/75? Better performance off-road and better mileage.

In my opinion, "pizza cutters" look silly on these trucks. I'm yet to be convinced that they're better off road than a wider tires that covers more ground area.

Most of the hardcore guy’s out here are regeared with 315’s. I’m on 285’s and there not quite big enough depending on the trails you like to run. With our wheel base 37x12.5 would be awesome;)

there are a few guys here is swfl running 255/80/17 tires and have no issues with traction. get your caster closer to 3 and you will have no issues with rubbing. I ran a 1/2 inch spacer to level my truck and 3 deg of caster and had zero rubbing with the 275 tires with no trimming.

Where in SWFL are you? I'm in Naples. Looking to go wheeling somewhere in Fort Myers tomorrow with a buddy that's bringing his Jeep out if you're not too far.

Next time you go wheeling, dont air down.... cause you know, the least amount of contact patch the better!
