Finally a fix from Toyota for Stumble condition (TSB 0062-18)

How do people not realize by now that both of these TSB's end up with the same calibration ID's. It seems like every day there are a bunch more posts asking which TSB to get. Doesn't matter, get whatever they give you. If they apply both TSB's, all the tech is doing is getting paid to run the same update 2nd time, which is pretty smart on their part. Get paid something like .4 hr per TSB, takes them 15 min tops. Hell, right in the .pdf for each, they show the calibration ID and they're the exact same!

 

And thats only with one issue
There have been numerous TSB's for these trucks over the last 3 years, but remember.... they are doing what they are designed to do

 

Since you seem to understand how these Cal Ids work, do you know what the 2nd Cal Id (the one that ends in 1300/1400) is here:

And why is that 2nd Cal Id only mentioned in the 58 TSB?

 

What do you mean by "doing what they are designed to do"?

B0400 is the ECU calibration ID. 01400 is the TCU calibration ID. 2018 models and the manual trans models have different cal IDs since they use different ECUs.

Anyone that has done T-SB-0077-16 Rev 1 in the past do this new update? Is it much better than T-SB-0077-16 Rev 1?

 

Yes. This new update is MUCH better. The automatic Tacoma actually drives normally now.

So I just called my dealer, (Canadian Btw) And asked to have it come in to get the tsb update and they wont do it unless they can reproduce the issue... kinda bs and I'm almost 100% certain they'll say it's normal

What Is the difference between 0058-18 and 0062-18. Should I get both done or is it one or the other
