The better question is, why tf are you going to Charles Maund? :bananadead::bananadead:

#TestimoniesOfAnExEmployee that place is the most shady place in Austin. There's probably less criminals in a drug warehouse

I bought the truck from here and they have always been good to me. My service advisor has been promoted though. He, Martin Flores, was a great service advisor and so now let’s see if it continues. :fingerscrossed:

I’m waiting to find out. Hopefully it’s just the transmission gasket on the pan. Luckily it’s all under powertrain warranty still

Lame! I could have done the next weekend, I just picked a weekend honestly in December after some consulting in another thread.

I guess its fine if its under warranty. Service advisers LITERALLY get paid off commission there, though. If you go into Wes' office (head of service) there's a white board with the floor monetary amounts sales advisers have to sell customers or they'll get canned

If you did the weekend after I should be able to make it (last day of classes are the 16th) but I don't want you to hinge your entire event on one person

Damn, wish i couldve run the trd flash but none of the dealers near me wanted to reflash it with that. Havent tried a new ecu yet, my truck is a 6spd, so i havent wanted to try and track one down.. may have to though if we cant get it sorted out. The ecu was completely stock before adding the ucon, so i didnt think that couldve been an issue. I have read about folks with a trd flashed ecu needing a stock one to get the ucon to play nice though.

They havent sent me a replacement ucon to try and replicate the issues, but i have a feeling they might do that to eliminate it as a variable.

Still waiting for a tire, luck of the draw. This is why driving street trailers in dirt is a problem. We have 2 or 3 issues a day with equipment failure. Probably because we don’t use anything for it’s intended purpose.

It’s hard to do this on a 3rd gen. No trans dipstick :bananadead:

Word. I’ve had no issues. And no one has tried to upsell me on anything. They all love Big Perm here. It’s funny. I get many questions from the employees like every time haha

That's good to hear. After working there for a few years, Zeb and I aren't ever going back, but if your experience is good then that's awesome :fistbump:

So many horror stories from that place... like when I was driving a for sale Tundra and a lady backed into me and they tried to forcefully garnish $1000 (attempt to trick me into signing something first, which I didn't sign, then tried to just do it) of my wages for an insurance deductible even though it wasn't my fault

Plus... why tf would they even charge an employee for an insurance deductible? who tf knows

Should I create a separate thread for it?

It is still far enough out, that it could be changed, would not bother me at all.

I think the only reason I put it the 6th-9th is to have two weekends before Christmas instead of one for money recovery.

It might be worth a shot to pick up a new ECU; if the ECU is not the issue then you can always resell it and make your money back. I hope they send you a new UCON as a test because either way you need to enjoy your truck and not be plagued with these issues. Programming is a fickle beast. So are performance mods.

The Aisin A750F transmissions don't come with dipsticks, so from 2005 to present Tacoma owners have been frustrated by this engineering malfeasance. It's a royal pain to check the fluid level. It's worth knowing the procedure and actually checking because Toyota North America is notorious for underfilling transmission fluid in the A750E/F.

Yes. Worked well for the run this weekend.

Yeah. No doubt. I’ll figure all that out later. Hopefully it’s just a pan leak.

    You are a poll.

    -_-

In that case, since it was already done up... going to keep it the current dates.

    :pout:

Ok, will create a separate thread then.

Good call, may have to try and track one down. Any idea what they go for used? Definitely worth a gamble to get the truck up and running. It's been sitting for far too long, I'm itching to drive it. Good point on the programming and performance mods, they really start to add up, but theyre so addicting!
