Seat Belt Problem

On my 98 reg. cab I4 the driver side seat belt has recently worn out and now shows the red tag at the bottom that reads "if showing replace seat belt" has become fully visible. Where can i get a cheap used or new seat belt that is perfectly safe? What vehicles have the same seat belt?

Is there anything that is used or interchangable between my truck and other vehicles? something i could possibly get from a slavage yard?

 

Do you really want a used Seat belt?

i know they make cost a bunch, but it is your life we are talking about...

Or go to junk yard and look around for tacomas 1997 to 2004 maybe

 

I mostly wondering if there are vehicles with the same seat belt as my truck so that i can broaden my search and possibly find a better deal than $150, because my seat belt failed just after the Kansas 10 year replacement law on seat belts stopped covering it.

 

Just a guess, but check out T100 and 4Runner.

The seat belts listed on that site for a 98 were for an ext. cab which i don't have, i have a reg. cab with a bench seat, would they still work just the same?

You should be able to choose whatever cab style you have there.

Still the same price though. Can't tell if they're actually different, the site doesn't give part number, just vague descriptions.
