Ha ha...I wouldn't quite go that far. Yours looks damn good, too. More like how I normally make them. Bringing that to the Fantasy Football draft had to be worth moving up a couple slots in the draft order

I trimmed this one all pretty like for the judges .

And, yes, the pepper forward rub is quite nice! Almost like it is something I may or may not be doing for a savory Pitfaced rub :anonymous:.

I'll see what I have leftover from the competition ;).

You could have drafted slices of the brisket. A reverse-snake. Last pick gets the first slice from the dry part at the very tip of the flat. Each successive pick gets closer and closer to that super moist center that overlaps the point.

So if anyone is a gamer here, I think this savory rub is the Duke Nuken Forever of rubs.

If you don't get the reference just search for the title and you will see what I mean.

You should have given them a taste of it. Then once they were hooked you barter another taste for draft favors.

Does anyone know if Lowes is having a sale on the twin 18.6lb kingsford bags this upcoming weekend? I'm running low!

Traditionally, Lowes and Depot put it on sale for Labor Day. I need to restock for the winter, last year I ran out in March and had to buy full price coal until the Memorial Day sales!

@Misplaced Nebraskan beat me to it

@scottalot knows before Home Depot knows.

This is typically the routine, though. I think I burned through 3 bags this weekend. Lots of cooking!

I have a big stash, still, but it never hurts to snag a couple hundred pounds for backup ;).

Who smoked the baked beans, sausage, peppers, and onions? I want to try that this weekend and couldn’t find the pics or recipe.

You already have the recipe lol, I did the same thing this weekend (plus bacon). Just put everything in a foil pan with some bbq rub (pitfaced spicy for me) and let it ride
