Yeah, It’s not south Chicago bad or anything, but enough to make sure you lock your truck up. Hermitage is a nice area, I work in Gallatin otherwise I probably would’ve looked more in that area or South of Nashville. It’ll probably be easier to find some land on the North side of Nashville though.

So how's the job market around the Nashville area. I'm a driver/ mechanic. Currently work on truck chassis's. Wife is in medical field .funny you mention Southside of Chicago, I grew up near there in the 80's.

I live in Hermitage and like it, but it really depends on the neighborhood. If that's on your radar, look into Mt. Juliet instead. Hunting is good, plenty of deer, turkey, squirrel, rabbit, duck, etc. My wife and I are both medical, easy for your wife to find a job here. Shouldn't be difficult for you either, lots of large vehicle repair shops and places you can drive for.

Look into old Hickory. Could get a nice house down on the lake, or at least close to the lake, with a little land. Based on your budget of course.

We're looking at $200,00-300,000. Found a nice place with 6.28 acres and a pond. But it's still kinda up in the air right now

Welcome brother! :hattip:Depending on what y’all are looking for there’s a lot of nice areas to the north of Nashville outlying areas. Goodlettsville isn’t bad and I’d second staying clear of Madison. If you want a little more laid back area with a little more property and don’t mind the drive Hendersonville, Gallatin, WhiteHouse, Springfield and most of the surrounding areas are pretty cool. Biggest problem you’ll have is it’s most definitely a sellers market right now. Halfway decent places don’t stay available for long. My son has been looking for a place with about and acre and was getting really discouraged on what he was finding. One popped up and he looked at it, made and offer and got an agreement all within 45min.

Thank you. We just want a lil room. Everyone I've meet there is nice ppl. I miss that. And thanks for the heads up on areas around. There's a lot of homes for sale in Madison, which is a red flag in my book. And sellers market, I watched a burned out abandoned home go for 1.3 million..crazy. But it had .20 acres of land. In a spot close to facebook..lol. that dotcom money, I hope to cash out on it too. Have 2 homes and 6 acres way up north. I'll make more on the houses sad to say..unless I sell the land to pot growers. Which I might if offer was high enough.
