It’s the main rear seal. They have given me a loaner and I’ll get BP back tomorrow. They have to drop the trans so I’ll get a free flush!

I’m driving an F150 xlt

 

Dang at least she’s getting some luv...is it ecoboosted or 5.0?

 

I am not sure, ill pop the hood and check. Its only got 6300 miles on it. Honestly, it drove awesome! I put it in Sport mode and gave it the beans and still averaged 22mpg on the way home! LOL

And ive grown used to the big ass hood on BP. This F150's was barely visible... its not a bad truck at all. I wouldnt offroad with it... and it didnt like the bumpy stuff as much as BP... oh, and it still has a sway bar, you can feel it when on the bumpy stuff. Im talking road interchanges, driveways, speed bumps, and other urban shit. lol

 

I think Big Perm just wanted a little freshen up before going full send

 

BP will get a trans flush and probably an oil change out of this... so i think you are right!

 

Kinda sucks but at least is getting fixed under warranty!

 

Yeah man, so glad its warrantied. Some sites online estimated it at $800-1000 with most of that being labor to drop the trans and reinstall. All good! Shit happens.

Yeah that doesn't sound like a fix I would want to do or pay to have done. That goes right to what we were saying about only having the power train warranty still intact!

 

This is the only shot so far... i really need to take a pic of it with the 34's. Its looking crazy!

yeah it sure does! 60k left on the powertrain for me and now, makes me want to wait out it out before thoughts of FI

I walked up on it at the dealer to grab a couple of things and was like, damn, who's truck... oh shit, thats miiiiine! lol

You hav done quite a bit of work since I saw it....

 

BP is at version 2.0 as i been calling it... ive got a few little odds and ends to work out for tire clearance and then its trail time! should be fun locked front and back, at 4.88 gears and on 34s! I really cant wait. Im thinking 2-3 weeks before @Texoma gets crazy with the 2nd cmc on the truck... this time, we cutting a large amount of it off and fabricating some new body mounts. This is still in the planning stages but since there are no products like the Insain Fab extreme Cmc or Red Goat Fab relocate for the 3rd gens, there are minimal options.

 

I really can't wait to see this thing crawling!

 

How bad is your rub? Any pics of the problem areas?
