Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
I don't know if it's just me, but as of late I've had a few run ins with douchey Jeep owners. Wranglers in particular seem to be the biggest culprit. From flipping the bird at me to driving and blinding me with illegal aftermarket LED light bars and fog pods. Today driving down the highway at dusk I passed a small convoy of modified Wranglers going well under the limit, the lead Jeep then flicks on his high beams and all his ridiculously bright LED bars and blinds the shit out of me until I'm far enough ahead to not be bothered by it anymore. What the heck is up these guy's asses so far? Is it because we drive a competition vehicle to the Jeep that gets them so riled up? Having owned a Jeep before, a CJ5, I can say I have no desire to ever get back in one again. They are mechanical nightmares compared to the Tacoma. I dunno, maybe having a Jeep requires one to evolve into an egotistical douchebag, I'm not sure! I try to be courteous to everyone on the road but get a lot of flack from Wrangler guys for whatever reason. I really wish the cops would crack down harder on those LED light bars, those things are a public nuisance and aren't suitable for anything but off road use, keep them off on public roads! Or get a big ass ticket is my vote.

You mean devolve into an egotistical douchebag. Driving a Tacoma means you are of a higher intelligence. Jeeps are for knuckledragger Neanderthals

Being a Jeep person myself, i can assure you that you are over reacting. Most Jeep people I know in the DFW area are all incredibly nice, helpful and wheel more than 99% of the pretenderlanders here.

Personally, I like my Jeeps, my Tacoma is okay for a baby truck... but the Toyota elitism gets pretty fucking annoying around here lol

Lol, sorry to hear that man! I was a "Jeep guy" before owning my Tacoma and there is a major perceived rivalry. I actually had a lot of negative instances from the Toyota guys out on the trails. But, those guys were the ones driving the really old trucks with the bobbed tails and massive tires. Usually drinking and dirty overalls involved and they hated Jeeps. A lot of the other Jeep guys I ran trails with really didn't like Toyota's, they were considered "the other side". Which is absurd really....they are both great platforms. While I'm not interested in knowing the "Toyo-bubbas" as they were called on the trail, I'm sure those Jeep guys aren't all bad and there are quite a few Toyota driver's who provoke the situation. Now, I just smile and wave at everyone!

Now, the guys driving the gigantic Dodge Ram trucks who swerve to hit me when walking down the street....let's talk about them! lol

Oh, and it helps to have a bright ass light setup on the back of your rig to return the favor next time ;-) I do agree, off-road lights should be kept off road!

I don't see how legally passing a convoy of slow driving Jeeps makes me a douche but okay then.

There are jerks in every community, but the important thing is that we are all passionate about cars. Frankly, it's just good to see people excited about them. We should, as a community, try to be as welcoming and friendly as we can. After all, how is the hobby going to survive if we act like a bunch of elitists? Like whatever car you like.

    Unless you're a GM guy :D

There's jerks everywhere, in every walk of life. If you want to constantly find ways to be offended there'll be someone always willing to help you. Just gotta find a way to let it go.

FWIW, I seem to get people flicking their high beams at me periodically. There's something about my headlights that seems to make other drivers think I have my high beams on. I run standard bulbs, 55/60 power, check and recheck the aim. I dunno. I think in my case the lenses are starting to get foggy so they may be spatter light a little bit. Point I'm making is if this sort of thing is happening it could be something on your end.
