I'd be more impressed if people were posting their lifetime averages from the radio instead of current trip or tank averages from the dash. I get around 17-18 usually. 19.4 is my all time high score in 27k miles.

    Seriously?

I'm not going to make any more money driving 10-15 mph over the speed limit.

So, that bit of time I would save driving faster, would actually be unnecessarily costing me money in fuel. Whats the advantage?

If you are a lead foot in a hurry, then its only you that sees the benifits of it, I guess?

Gas mileage depends on your foot and the terrain. If you do not have a traffic problem, drive easy, and live in West Texas, you can get better mileage than I can.
I traveled about 100 miles on the interstate trying to get good mileage. There was not much traffic so I would do about 65 (speed limit is 70), and get off the accelerator going up an incline, which would slow me down to about 60. I got 23 mpg. Of course, I would not do this type driving if there was traffic to deal with.
I have Method wheels with KO 2's in stock size. (16''.. Off Road)

The only way that speed will help your time, is when your traveling long distances on the interstate. Otherwise, one red-light will wipe out any of your speeding.
Many of us can relate to this.....run through a yellow light and the red catches the guy behind you....only to have to have the guy right behind you on the next light. The way the lights work you probably didn't risk an accident, but you sure risk getting a ticket for nothing.

Advantage is that you don't make money sitting behind the wheel. Unless of course you are a driver, but even then the quicker you get there the quicker you can get on to your next task. My hourly rate is a lot more than the difference in a few pennies of saved gas mileage. The more I bill, the more I make. You could even extend that thought into free time. Unless you like sitting behind the wheel, the quicker you get somewhere, the more time you have. There is a reason that we don't have the 55mph speed limit nationwide any longer.

    No

No way to break this out either.

Where do you see different EPA ratings? the EPA ratings are 18/22 for both Sport and OR on Toyota.com

My TRD Off Road gets 17-19 around town. 21-23 Highway. I have gotten as much as 27 mpg. Stock mileage, tires, suspension plus I don't floor it. I baby it.

"I can't Drive 55", but a recent 50+ mile highway drive at 65 I got the average 21.5. Not bad. I like that.

I don't make money sitting behind the wheel either way, so it's smarter for me to not waste money I do earn through the tail pipe for absolutely no reason.

You can paint it whatever color you want. Your need to get things done faster, so you can bill more is your world that you live in. You can justify your speeding any which way you like, as it won't devalue my reasons to drive the speed limit or take a different more relaxed route to and from anywhere I decide to go. I'm not in any hurry. Never have been, hopefully never will be.

Fortunately I am paid hourly on a set schedule that I've been working for just over 26 years solid, and have several quality paid time off options that allow me to go through life without thinking I am missing out on another earned buck while driving.

For the record, I do travel in the right lane, as should you until you feel the need to pass me. Come up on me on a single lane road with the speed limit of 55mph and I'm following it, you'll just have to wait until there is a passing lane. I have zero obligation to use a pull off for a person in a hurry other than emergency vehicles, or police. Just not going to happen.

It is. The OR 2WD is also rated at 19/24.

So there is no difference in EPA rating between OR and Sport if you compared 4x4 to 4x4

23/24 average mpg. 27mpg long highway trips. 2017 SR MT 4 banger. 14,000 miles. Original tires. I shift it focusing on moderate performance, not trying to maximum mpg. I wind it up when I need to, and sometimes just for fun.

Last week, I got 17.5mpg, that was driving the 34 mile round trip from my home to work, not in traffic, but through town.
I have the 888 OME coils w the Dakar rear leaf, about 2.75" lift.. 285/70-17s Nittos . I don't think I could have asked for more.

I don't have a 300 mile commute. I do go out of town for work regularly, and sometimes we finish up the job and staying another night in the hotel isn't an option. When the difference between driving 55 and 75 is the difference between getting home at midnight vs 2 am, 100% gonna drive faster.

You do you, but I don't think you'll have many converts to your driving style.

This is a nice and thorough record , but you should record road conditions or trip type too (loaded vs unloaded, trip type & avg speed... also, why not do this and download the info with your Entune Eco app?

Its not really about driving slow. Its about making use of tranny an engine efficient as possible. Stay off of cruise control is a start unless you are on flat ground.
