Magic temperature to check transmission fluid level?

    im just curious what the transmission temperature range is to properly check the transmission fluid level? Anyone know? Thanks.

    After reading those posts...can I just use the “ECT TEMP” PID reading off the obd2 data port on my scan gauge to get the proper trans temp for checking the level?

    My understanding is there are two readable temps, one for torque converter and one for pan temp. You want the pan temp. But check my work. I used the truck method with the flashing P.

    Does anyone know which pins to jump on a 20 tacoma pro?. Terminal 14 is empty on mine.
