Anytime Front and Rear Camera Mod

I’m having issues with my set up, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. When I start up my truck sometimes the back up camera won’t turn on, not even if I activate front or rear with button, but later on the day it works.

Anyone have a similar issue?

 

Sounds like there's a bad connection somewhere.

 

I agree with ellman. The easiest ones to check are the plug behind the bumper and the camera connection inside the tailgate. the others you'd need to pull the head unit to check.

 

For DPDT wiring go to front and rear instructions on the last page and follow the switch diagram and instructions very simple

 

Have you installed this one yet and does it give you a normal front view image. I installed a parkvision camera and picture was upside down and no color.

Anyone know where to get an Oem looking navigation override push switch that would fit into left cubby like the reverse camera buttons?

Hey all, can anyone confirm they've installed this successfully on a 2018 Tacoma? I purchased this kit from JJ and discovered that Toyota had changed the plugs to the head until just slightly but enough that the plug would not engage into the head unit. JJ refunded my money immediately and let me send the harness back after we discussed the issue and went over pictures. This was about 4 or 6 weeks ago and I had hoped there would be an update but like it has been posted, it appears he's no longer selling them.

I recently posted about a issue about my kit not working, thanks to everyone who replied with suggestions.

I took out my HU today and that was my issue, the 28 pin doesn’t click into my HU. I really like JJ’s product and ease of installation. I pushed the plug in as hard as I could so hopefully it would stay in.

 

I installed rear anytime and nav block from JJ in my 2018: no problems:
March build date and May delivery on 2018 TRD OR

 

Damn I miss all kinds of good stuff here, sucks too bc i wanted to get one of these and support this fellow veteran. Anyways if anyone happens to have the front/rear kit and decides to sell or please PM me . Thanks
