@Fitzwilly figures. Talked about installing all that stuff this weekend, and now the forecast looks like crap

 

I'm gonna get the kayak out and take a float down the river Friday morning I have really slacked this year, this will be the 2nd time I've been in it since I bought it

 

When I took it, I flew through almost all of it. Only 3 or 4 questions I was 50-50 on. It's nothing crazy though. They sit you down, say their stuff, and then you fill in a bunch of bubbles. They're just happy you're there.

 

Same. Was going to go this weekend as well. Guess I'll just have to go wheeling instead ...

 

I'm just glad to have found some buddies close by that share the same interests. When I had my TJ, most of the people around here are young college kids that have the 4 door Wranglers and I just didn't have anything in common with them.

Did you end up getting that exhaust tube or whatever fixed? The one from last week? If you mentioned it, I either didn't see it or forgot

Yeah, they came out Friday, guy saved me by not having to cut into the basement/garage ceiling. I have the machines up and running and the bifold doors back on. Now I just have to get a new bathroom door since I destroyed the old one getting it off. It’s an odd size so I have to get a solid door, plane it down on both sides and build a custom jamb. Easy when you have the time and proper tools.

I Think you’re thinking of Gardner. That’s pretty far away from work and very far from Home.

 

Indeed they do. That radio I was taking to Phil about can do it. It's a bit of a hybrid radio. What it does is when you send a signal out, it goes to a radio tower near you, and has an address with it's signal that you pick. That tower is then connected to the internet. It uses that address to sent the signal to the tower in another state and rebroadcasts it for the other person to hear.

So say if Phil gets a dmr radio. I could look up the tower his area and program that into my radio. That way when I key it up it goes from my radio, to my tower, into the internet , down to his tower via jnternet, and becomes a radio wave for him to hear. It's a very clear signal too.

Also, radio nerds in your area could do all the complicated work for you so you just have to select a contact like in a phone
