Went for a wee little hike after work.

Would've hiked Mt Massive but didn't know you had to have a permit.

@YamaDirtrider You have a wr250r right? What do you think of the wr250x think it would be a fun bike to rip around town? Does it have enough power to bring a smile?
    Thanks

True, I had fun riding Brett's nephews crf50. But then again I didn't have to pull out in front of traffic with it. Would love a 450 supermoto but don't want to deal with the maintenance.

Yes, just the free wilderness permit. But i was at the west trailhead boards which didn't have permits, and wasn't about to drive back to the main areas to get one. Still not exactly sure which spot has the permits since I stopped at one of the main TH last week and the info boards at it were all but useless as far as trail info.

Yea, and I thing it’s a great bike for around town. I’d say the bikes are good roads up to ~50mph, but they have no problem crusing 50-70. They are the tallest of the 250’s but the motor is built to last forever.

If yoy buy used be causious of the older model as there was a fuel pump issue.

If your on Facebook there is a huge wr group, a good amount of the people in there mod and stunt the bikes

Yea, the common mods are to regear, put on pc5 programmer (the fmf programmer is full of bugs), fmf slip on exhaust, wile opening up the airbox and deleting the a injection system.

When I ride it to work I’m crusing about 70 at just over half throttle. It

Awesome that's what I like to hear. Just looking for something for around town and slow trail riding with the wife and kiddo when she is old enough. The 2 stroke KTM isn't good for that type of riding. What years should I stay away from? I want the newest possible but it all comes down to money

If you’d back in or through Denver/Parker, can meet up and let ya try out my bike
I wanna say the 08-10 models, had the pump issue. There was a stator recall to keep in mind.

Inspect behind the front sprocket and under side of the chain sliders the front
Also make sure the radiator fan works.

Sweet, thanks. Don't think I will be in that area anytime soon. Headed up to Wyoming then Montana. But so far I think the wr250 is in the lead. Looks like a bike that can do everything I want it to. Will be fun to get some supermoto wheels for it and rip around town.

So I want to buy an awning set up but have no way of attaching it to my topper.

I would have to add proper load bars and brackets. What is the likely hood that I could properly mount load bars on/through my fiberglass topper and have it all be strong enough to house an awning while driving down the highway?

@Star-Lord did you add those bars to your topper roof? Or is that factory?
