    OMG......I tried it .......AND IT WORKED! It was a little scary since I have a 2013 and there were 2 red wires but I used the one that was from the video and it worked. The only drawback is that I have to use the switch now and it wont trigger the camera when I put it into reverse but I can deal with that.

    You have to rip the dash apart to get to all the wiring. The lower center console is a PITA.

    I know but can't you just fish the wires from the head unit adapter to your HVAC switch ?

    I was wondering the same thing myself. I've gone over all the videos and threads, but it appears that you have to pull just about everything apart. I would love to see a "shortcut" version of the install. I hate pulling my truck apart just for simple mod.

    I'm wondering. I wired in some bumper lights with a hvac switch and just fished the wires I think it can be done.

    It's hard to tell if the hole goes down to the lower panel, or if there is more plastic in the way.
