Looking for a comparison of the Gunmetal Grey on a black SB, showing difference between 16” and 17” wheels.

Also, when are these back in stock?

They are stainless steel M6x8, an oddball size.

No, we're all Aby Normal here. Just messin'.

    But seriously.

So you want a separate Ray 10 thread with just posts from people that have bought the wheels and want to show them off to everyone else that has done the same thing?

Or are you saying there are too many SCS threads that are always in the top slots of the wheels marketplace?

I'm very confused. I mean you know that regardless of what threads are in a section, the most active ones will always be the first threads in that section right? And because these are some of the most popular wheels on the forum, the SCS threads will always be first. Just the way it is.

So for example, there are separate vendor forums where everyone does the same thing that happens in these SCS threads- post pictures and experiences of the products for people to check out.

This is a BST forum and nothing is for sale in any of these threads, so they're just clutter. Especially the "gauging interest" thread should absolutely not be in here. Leave the thread selling blemished wheels, cause it's actually selling something. And like you've astutely pointed out, SCS wheels are very well liked, so it's common for the threads for all the different models to be on the first or second page constantly. This makes it harder than it should be to find new posts in this forum when you're actually shopping for wheels or tires.

It's not really confusing at all, IMO. Buy Sell Trade forum should have buy sell trade posts. Vendor forum is for vendor advertising and product bsing

When the wheels are available for sale, SCS posts it here, in this thread. What happens in between is just the nature of the beast. It's the same for any BST thread. Look at the Redline Tuning Struts, or The Ultimate LED Turn Signals. All of those are the same, items will be listed for sale in those threads when they are available. Before the sale happens people talk about the products, and then again after the sale people post up their results. There is no way to stop this.

As an alternative, you could just follow SCS on Instagram. I think there is less talk going on there and to be honest, I think they (SCS) posts the drop date and time there first. It would eliminate being here all together.

Is this true? Then what is the point of the inventory subscription thread (which is quite literally the first thing in this entire post, and which says 'subscribe to this for inventory updates'). That thread is also in the Vendor forum, where it belongs.

I don't care about stopping SCS related discussion. As I've said, I don't have an issue with their product, or people who use their product and talk about their product. What I take issue to is cluttering up the wrong forum with what is effectively 5 different 'SCS Pics and BS' threads. And no, this isn't like the other long standing threads because 1) those are single threads that don't clog up half a page, and 2) SCS is a TW Vendor, with their own Vendor forum. And not to be a rules Nazi, but all of these threads violate this clause of BST rule 5: "The item MUST be available for sale at time of posting"

This is not going to help me at all when I'm trying to scroll this marketplace for BST posts for any wheels...

This really isn't complicated, and I'm not trying to start some big shitstorm. I'm just annoyed that on nearly all of the BST forums, but *especially* this one, it's all but guaranteed that finding actual 'new' items for sale will be a headache because of clusters like this.

Yes it's true, in a generic way. For example look at post #92 on page 5. The Vendor is stating when the wheels will be for sale. The first page has pictures of what the wheels look like. And if you go to their website you see the prices.

The inventory subscription thread is just that, a thread for the notice of when the product will be for sale.

And not to sound too much like a fanboy but I don't think the rules that apply to you or I fully apply to vendors. They are granted this Vendor status.

Trust me, I'm not taking offense to anything you're saying, and I hope no one else does either. To me this is a healthy discussion between two people who have different opinions.

I am still not getting your issue navigating around just 5 threads on the first page of this section when there are 6,578 of them total on the other 131 pages. They're sufficiently titled so it's not like you can mistakenly enter them.

I mean, to some extent I agree searching through a section can be time consuming. The 3rd Gen section is no different. I've made my way through it to the end a couple times to be sure I'm not missing anything. A couple of times I've expressed an interest to no avail.

I just shrug it off and move on.

He posted he mounted 265/75/16 Toyo MTs, so I’d assume 16x8 wheels =) can’t help you with the BFG one above though sorry.. 16 or 17 I’m sure, I don’t think the 18s fit Tacoma specs.. Tundra only as far as I know

I like both, but the Ray10 looks a little better to me. Bronze is a hard color to photograph since the light makes a huge difference. Ranges from choco brown to gorgeous penny color.

I had the same idea. M6x1.0x8 flanged (14mm OD). You can find m6x8mm with a little effort, grade 8.8 with a little more, but not flanged. All I can find in the flanged starts at 10 or 12mm.

Edit 1:M6x8 flanged appears to be popular for moto / atv oil pan plugs.Honda and Kawasaki have P/Ns for it. On the hunt for grade 8 still.

    Edit 2: Kawasaki 132G0608 or 132BA0608 / HONDA PART# 95701-06008-00

Edit 3: @90yota I went to home depot and tested some M6x1x10mm flanged bolts. They stick up ever so slightly vs the oem offering. I'd guess the threaded hole is prob about 9 or 9.5mm deep. I'm gonna run it for a week or so to see if it stays in place, and if so, order some M6x10 flanged.
