I think they're my favorite at the moment. Some people accuse VTX of being an SCS rip-off, but I think the Rogue is much better looking than the Ray-10.

No GPS track, I navigate by Gazetteer, odometer and wife telling me that I missed my turn. The campground is here:

    https://www.google.com/maps/place/H...242bfbae4f71c!8m2!3d46.3097627!4d-121.5666175

It's a pretty mellow drive. Coming from the north (Randle) we had to detour due to FR 23 being closed partway down. I later heard that it might not actually be closed, they're replacing culverts under the road and it might be possible to pass through on weekends, depending on where the work crew left off. We were dragging the trailer so opted to follow the detour signs. Takhlakh lake is nearby and popular enough to have reservations for some of the sites. I was surprised at how well signed all of the FR's are in that neck of the woods.

We worked our way back to Packwood via FR21. Again the signage was great, following the roads to Walupt Lake and then to Packwood.

The whole trip was good with a night at Deception Pass, Scenic Beach, Taidnapam, Horseshoe Lake, then two nights at Ohanapecosh in Rainier. We went back to Bellingham via Enumclaw/Auburn and 405 to 5. And honestly, I don't know how you guys deal with that traffic. Holy crap that sucked, and we passed through at 2pm.

Rad, thanks for the details. I'm loooking for some out of the way places to shoot star photography and a lake with a mountain reflected in it is a good spot.

Also, @SalmonTaco was that you I saw near Marysville today? Truck had a little apple sticker on the back window driver side underneath a bed rack with RTT.

My point is just that you can scroll the interwebs and find 6 wheels from 6 different companies and they will all be extremely similar. Fanboy syndrome means whatever your new new is has to be the original.
