Dooooope! That's awesome man. Can't wait to see it start coming together! I've always been so worried about that.. if I were to get a daily.. lol

It's good man! Yeah.. back to machining and being able to be creative and mess with CAD. Missed it bad! Working on getting a 3D printer for at gome and start making parts again.

Are those the rears? I had trouble with the e-brake when changing pads. You’ll need rotors too :duel:

Ive got to change my rear brake shoes. Any expertise I should need to know before I try this for my first time. I bought new shoes, Drums, and parts kit. I heard something about a spring compression tool. Is this required or can you use something else? If anyone can help me out and teach an old dog a new trick, I'm game.

You can buy a cheap brake drum tool kit form HF and you’ll need a lot of patience

And people say I'm obsessive. ;)

Nice work though! Always good to have specs all in once place rather than scattered across creation. Makes comparisons infinitely easier. I'm somewhat of a tire nerd myself, having started my automotive service career as a tire monkey.

Man I wish I could listen to music at work. Oh shit that reminds me, I forgot to mention I got promoted to fabrication QC inspector/supervisor! I keep the machines running and set up/do the inspection intervals of in-house products, not open boxes and send emails to fuckers who have forgotten to send their CofC for the umpteenth goddamned time...

    Anyways where was I?

If I could, I would listen to some stuff like HOME:

Also some hard electronica like Perturbator, some Prodigy never fails to please, Dog Blood, or some more upbeat stuff like Nhato.
Lots of electronic, but I do switch it up and listen to other stuff.

I'd never listen to it in public but I also can't resist the occasional J-pop with it's fucking inanely, unrelentingly upbeat and cheery vibe to put me in a better mood. Blasting it to annoy my asshole neighbor in college really backfired because I started to like it.

I usually get these sorts of things even though I'm not mil... this one is over my head though. Is it something I should ask to have explained?;)

Hours of youtube videos on the subject before trying it. Seriously, you can learn a lot from youtube.

Be prepared to fight to get the drum off, some times they slide right off, sometimes you are fighting one for hours.

What part of Phx are you in? Maybe you are near someone that can stop buy and help out. Also, put a cooler full of beer just inside your garage and usually 4-5 TWers will be lured in, grab one by the ear and place in front of tire and tools. Nature will take over and they will instantly starting tearing things off. Watch closely as they might start prepping for shackle flips, add-a-leafs, or new shocks.

Or, just mention that you plan to have a Safety meeting and 2-3 TWers will show up... after an hour they might start fabbing you sliders and doing a cab mount chop.

Either way, yours brakes will get done.

I've got 15"s on the Miata. With some burly 205/50R15 tires... considering stock was 185/65R14 I had to get the roadster equivalent of a CMC... I just barely kissed the splash guards when the wheels would stuff, so I had them removed and the fenders rolled.

Well now you need to find me some 17x9 with 3.5-4" backspacing beadlocks for cheap so I can mount my 37's when I get them.

Never heard, I'll have have to check them out. I've looked into the bit names, raceline, kmc, method and none have small enough back spacing for what I'm looking for. Want a max of 4.25 but ideally anywhere between the 3.5-4" would be ideal
