That sits way to tall to be a 5lug

Strengthens the frame rails. If you add a heavy rear bumper or tire swingout it's good to have them. I ended up with 2 sets of them.

 

I need that laptop to program some eeproms. Need one with a serial port. A Printer port would be a bonus.

I use one of these.

We have a bunch of *really* old field equipment that uses serial adapters, and for a long time had an old laptop just for them. Eventually we ran into issues with the legacy version of windows on that machine (DOI wouldn't allow it to connect to our network).

This adapter solved the issue. I now use a field laptop that was made in this century.

 

I might have a old laptop for you. Though i think it needs a part replaced to work right

 

interesting. I wouldnt expect it to be lighter, but definitely reinforces the point I was after. No need to add them, but strengthening a weak point in the frame could be worth it, just not necessary for a tube bumper and a lot of work.

Btw I stumbled into the photography challenge thread. Pretty epic shot you got of that eagle with a fish in its talons.

Stitch removal got put off till friday. Nurse said more time. Its been a good lesson of complacency and patience. Shouldnt have rushed out on that reef.

Where I grew up we had a pair of red tailed hawks that would frequent my backyard, it was pretty awesome. Occasionally we have a peregrine falcon hang in our tree down here in sd. Niether as dramatic as an eagle though. Sounds like a good reason for you to make trips back in that area though
