Takashi was an absolute master. The very best ever. He literally wrote the book on aquascaping. Next time you are in Japan you must go to his museum. On my bucket list for sure.

In the SCAPE group it is 25% Caucasian at most. Care to guess the other nationality?

Booked marked on Google maps as a place to visit.
Don't make it to that part of Japan very often but the wife and I are hoping we can start dropping the kids off at the grandparents house and then go do some trips around the country with just the two of us.

Main reason I want to visit Sado Island is because I want to check out the Tub Boats

My meager little tank. Just a mashup of plants right now. Going to set-up a proper tank soon.

Mine just got more expensive. I decided to do a damn near full tear-down, as well as rotate my 3rd's to let the one that has been in front get more normal wear by installing it in the rear and discovered this:

    image.jpg

I am so happy that I decided to take this step now, rather than dealing with the inevitable later. I got it done at a reputable shop that will remain nameless for now, and hope they can/will warrantee this. The 3rds were the one and only thing I paid a shop to do on this truck.

Also, while mating up the duals to the transmission, I totally fucked up and did not realize there are 2 different size bolts and cracked one of the cases. This just adds another step to take apart my original t-case and swap cases. Luckily this is the stock case and not the Marlin one.

That looks super cool! Doesn’t look like a mashup to me.

It sucks to pull it out, but I had oil trickling out of the knuckles and was in need of new seals anyways. It was no big deal to pull out and reinstall the 3rds with the truck on the lift. I avoided it for so long because it sucks to do it with the truck on the ground.

The transfer case is what really pissed me off since it was my own stupid mistake and is holding up this entire project. I coulda been installing the trans and engine today while the 3rd is getting worked on.

I am looking at about $650 worth of parts and labor. No warrantee on the parts and this was not a poor labor related issue. Gonna have to bite the bullet on this. This time I am going with Yukon and their $40 lifetime no-questions-asked warrantee.

I expected to have this issue of a failing r&p when I decided to go with ARB locker and RCV shafts. Something has to be the weak link.

2 years old. And I do not want to sound like I am badmouthing the shop since this is not their fault and there is no blame to put on them. There was no warrantee on these parts and it was not a failure due to poor labor.

Yes. Them. But I can't put this on them. What kind of warrantee and what was their response?

Warranty is 1 year 12k miles...I was 7 months and 8k and the ring and pinion blew to pieces just leaving a on ramp light to get onto the 22 freeway. Had maybe 2 offroad trips on it and I dont rock crawl...usually.

What reason(s) did they give you for not wanting to cover it?
